Greater than one weekThis is an artist’s tool for spreading paint etc. It’s very comfortable to hold and easy to use. It’s flexible and cleans up great.

> 3 dayMy ex was a painter and would drag me to art stores periodically and i saw one of these in Dick Blicks and i had no clue what it was but i started playing with it and immediately thought of using it as sort of a flexible bench-knife spatula combo. I was right. I now have multiples of them and using them in baking applications more than most other tools. As a hand tool i have better tactile feeling vs using a handled spatula and it feels less clumsy. It doesn’t scratch or scrape against metal mixing bowls or metal kitchen tables or stone counter tops. Its a little blunt to be using for dividing doughs and such but i still use it 9 out of ten times. It’s stiff but maneuverable with a fatter “handle” end that tapers down to the business end.

Greater than one weekI really like the silicone material. I have arthritis in my thumb, and have to be careful with what I use. I could use this tool no problem for painting! With either hand it’s easy to make interesting marks, thick lines, and blend colors. Super easy to wash off again too!

> 3 dayThis thing is terrific for spreading gesso. If you put a dollop of gesso (about 1/2 tablespoon or less) on your canvas, then quickly and firmly push the gesso around, using the square end to wipe up slop-overs onto the side and applying that at the corners, you can get a very smooth finish after several coats (I do 6) with no sanding. Works way better for this than a credit card. Ace!

> 3 dayYou can see in the photos, the tulip shapes. I carved those out with this tool. It allowed me to take jus what I wanted, off. From the first use I used this tool the most, while starting to experiment & play with cold wax & oil paint. Wrong color choice? No problem - just firmly scrape it all down & wipe the wedge clean. Need a cool texture? Just turn & lightly move. The possibilities are endless. I wish / hope they make this in a slightly smaller size too.
