I punched a new hole in a pants belt that had become too big for me and I wanted to size it more precisely than just the same measurement as between the other holes. The belt is rather thick leather, but the punch cut through it very easily and on the first try. It also comes with a good set of rivets and a tool for applying them. I had almost taken off one star because of the lack of instructions. This seems to be a habit that all manufacturers have picked up and one that really annoys me. They made up for it, however, by sending additional instructions in a follow-up email.

> 3 dayVery well made hole-puncher. Used it immediately to add some holes on two thick leather belts. Nice round holes, much better than the ones I had done before with an awl or a nail. Only a few small issues. It came with zero instructions; the hole size markings are only in metric (could be in fractions of an inch on other side); and it should have come with a template showing the sizes of the holes as punched, like most of the cheaper punches sold here. But those small issues vanish once you ues it a few times.

The PDF was helpful on how to use. I kept looking for actual instructions in the box. If what was on the enclosed ad were the instructions, I wasnt impressed. That is the only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating.

A Tool That Brings a Smile

Instructions for use:
1. Mark the desired location where the hole will be made.
2. Release the clasp from the handles.
3. Choose your hole size by firmly rotating the wheel until it locks in place. Note the arrow on the wheel.
4. Place and align the material on the punch plate and squeeze the handles together with a firm grip till the punch pierces through.
5. Release the handles to reveal your neat hole.
6. To store your Master Hole Puncher push the clasp over the handle.
