> 3 dayIn June of 2022 the world of consumer LED projectors is changing rapidly. This projector is a good example. Its very bright, sharp, easy to use, and full of features that werent in projectors at its price point ($170) a few months ago. Its a good option for you to consider if youre not looking to replace all of the Web-based (streaming) features on your much more expensive smart TV, yet still want a lot of other useful features. What you do get is screen mirroring (Android and IOS), Android 10 OS, remote control over focus, automatic vertical keystone correction, broad range manual control over vertical and horizontal keystone correction, color temperature settings, Bluetooth connectivity, and digital zooming. Im not looking for Prime, Netflix and others built into the projector. I can get those by connecting an external device to the projector when I want them. If you want all of these Web based capabilities built in you can currently find them in a projector like this one, but priced about $200 or more higher. One of my attached pictures shows this projectors projected image (on the right) as compared to that of a projector I rated the best I have seen to date at its price point. That ones more expensive. Things are changing fast enough with these projectors that best doesnt get to stay that way for very long. In my attached picture I find this projector doing as well as the one I recently labelled best. The projector on the left provides no user control over color temperature. In contrast this projector does. To get the saturation and color temperature about the same I set this ones to the cold setting. Its standard setting brings out the red in the bricks a fair bit more. User choice. And if you dont want to use any of the three canned settings you can control RG&B separately. Another one of my pix shows the home screen while Im also adjusting the focus. The focus + and - buttons on the remote allow you to fine tune the image sharpness to get the lines in the ring just the right sharpness. It works very well. My third picture shows the other setting screen which shows the increasing set of options appearing in projectors like this one. (Havent figured out what key tone is. There were no visible changes when I turned it off. I dont think its related to keystone since those settings are on the projection settings screen. The manual says about this option key tone: on/off. -- Not very helpful. The shutdown setting allows values up to 120 minutes. It should have been about 150 for those longer movies, but still its likely to be good enough the bulk of the time. My application will be using the HDMI input, with a splitter that takes the high quality audio signal off the HDMI and sends it to high quality audio equipment. I havent tested the audio features in this projector. The speakers sound good enough for a signal source that isnt from a Dolby Atmos movie or any other demanding audio track. My Kill-A-Watt says this projector draws effectively zero watts in standby and 87 watts when full up. That means it could easily be driven off a 300 kWh battery generator for a typical two hour movie. Things I wish were better: 1) Theres no lens cap, 2) Theres no carrying case. In the end this projector is doing everything I need it to do (sharp, bright eight foot wide image), remote focus, digital keystone correction, zooming, color correction and intuitive interface.

> 3 dayGreat budget projector. Bought it for a bedroom wall and it fits so well. Very quiet operation but provides a very impressive scene. I have no issues watching movies or tv-and its sound is adequate for my needs. Plenty of volume. Very easy function & setup and is ready for action within 2mins. I have mine positioned 10ft back from the area shown, and do not have a screen to beam it onto. I have a dark cream color painted wall, and see no compromise to the color. For the price, it was way cheaper than a bigger tv for the bedroom, and the clarity isnt bad at all. Can get surprisingly sharp and clear. The manual focus is very precise, and the options to zoom to many image sizes is simple on the remote control. This also has 1 HDMI and Bluetooth connection. Whatever you can play on your laptop, it will replicate 99% at the same speed & accuracy. If you are looking for a very casual experience, and dont require massive sound, or cinema-level picture, this will satisfy at this pricepoint in small spaces. For $200 bucks, you are winning for sure.

> 3 dayI used the projector mostly in my bedroom and it fulfill the purpose. It has 1080p resolution is a plus, the color and brightness is ok, but above average for the price. I like it overall

> 3 dayFirst off, the unit is much larger than I was expecting. Granted I didnt look too closely when I ordered it, but I thought it was going to be palm-sized, but it is quite a bit larger. This is not a bad thing by any means, it is still extremely portable, measuring approx 7.5in long, 5.5in wide, and 8 1/4in tall. On to the review. Image: 5/5 Solid colors, and was easy to adjust to a sharp image. It looked very good on my grey wall, which is less than ideal as a screen. With a projector screen, it would be even better. Image quality and brightness are great for the size. Sound: 3/5 Sound was a bit flat, with very little bass. It does get pretty loud though, which is a plus. Serviceable, but I wouldnt want to watch a movie using the built-in speakers if I could help it. Software: 4.5/5 I think this was the biggest surprise for me. When I think of built-in TV software I picture the incredibly slow smart TV experience, where the interface feels stuttery and awful, and takes 30-60 seconds at a minimum to launch an app. I was expecting that here. Not so with the Android software running on this projector. Its VERY snappy, even faster than the dedicated Roku box I have. While it is a bit lightweight and lacks that extra mile in polish, it offers all the streaming apps I personally use, such as Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, as well as many others. I tested the AirPlay feature with my phone, and it worked as expected, scrolling through images and playing videos out of my camera library was snappy. Again a better experience than the AirPlay Ive used through my smart TV and my Roku box. I/O: 5/5 It has 3.5mm audio out, HDMI in, and a USB port for external media. I dont see myself needing any other inputs/outputs, so for me its perfect. Build quality: 5/5 My expectations were low for build quality, but the unit feels very solid. Time will tell if it can keep the dust out as advertised, but it looks and feels premium. It has an Apple-esque vibe, which Im sure was intentional. Accessories: 1/5 It comes with a simple remote (it takes x2 AAA batteries that are not included in the box). Thats it. No case, and no lens cap. I can live without a case, but the lack of a lens cap is a bit odd. The lack of any accessories beyond the remote, and the relatively mediocre speaker quality make this a 4/5 overall for me. Edit: 7/24/2022 - updated image quality score and description after further use, and added photo of projector image.

> 3 dayPros: Native 1080P FHD 4K Bluetooth Supports up to 120” Display Enhanced Brightness WiFi 2.4 & 5GHz Support Built-In Dual Speakers Multimedia Compatible Screen Sync & Mirroring Capability Smart Focus 50% Offset Dust-Free Design WiFi Casting 100,000 Hour Lamp Life Contrast Ratio: 10000:1 Compact Warranty Cons: Low Light Required 3D Not Supported Not For Use With Office Presentations Not Rechargeable Lumen Output: 300 ANSI No SD Card Port No Storage Case What I received in the package: 1 x VIMGO Smart Projector 1 x Power Adapter 1 x Remote Control 1 x User Manual This VIMGO Smart Projector product is not a bad little unit. I have setup a nice little garage playroom for my grandchildren for when they come over. I have three swing areas for swings, hammocks or hammock chairs to get out some energy or to just relax. I had a small TV mounted on a wall but wanted a more immersive experience that they could really enjoy. So I setup a white screen on the back side of the garage door. Which gives them about a 102” x 62” viewing area @ about 96” from the white screen. Which is plenty large enough for them to really enjoy anything they want to watch. Video. The image resolution of Native 1080P FHD. Of course, that depends on your video, your focus & what you are rendering the projection on. The projector has a contrast ratio of 10000:1 @ 300 ANSI Lumens. Which means it is relatively sharp but does not put out a lot of light so it is most effective in optimal positioning and low light (dark) situations. I wish my white screen was a bit thicker as it tends to show the lines from the garage door as they imprint on the white screen. It’s not bad but I will probably option to either insulate the back of the white screen somehow or buy a thicker white screen. You are able to focus the projection easily with the remote control. This unit took me some time to learn to operate. The instruction is adequate but it just takes some on the job operation to get the hang of how to connect various devices or you various connections. I was able to get all the different types of connections to work. Versatility. This particular unit will not allow you to stream from various paid services due to copyright issues from a smartphone or laptop via casting. You are able to see trailers but once you start a movie, it will freeze and all you will hear is the audio. So you have to have a library or otherwise use services that don’t have that restriction. NOTE: That being said, I did have success streaming using a FireStick or Roku plugged directly into the projector. Sound. The sound quality is not too bad but as it has bluetooth … I prefer to use an external speaker. The onboard 5W speakers a narrow band sound and is not very robust but not terrible either. It does not get very loud and with the projector fan running to cool the lamp … it is not IMO adequate for viewing. They work fine in a pinch or if you don’t have any other option due to your location. Remote and App. The remote is very straight forward. The Focus Buttons are one of the more handy functions of the remote. You can easily achieve precise focus using the remote. It has standard controls that you would expect from a remote. Operation and Experience. The operation of the projector is relatively standard with other projectors of this type. The screen resolution is okay to on par to many other models that I have tried. My other portable projector is rechargeable. While I understand that most projectors don’t have the capability of being rechargeable. With that option, you are able to go out on the trail of go camping and show a movie without being tethered to a location that has power. The Contrast Ratio of 10000:1 is quite good for a projector of this price point. My other projector has a Contrast Ratio of 6000:1 Lumens are low but could be worse. as they get for projectors. What that means is that you have to have a VERY low light area where you are projecting and any light will wash out your projection. The manufacturer offers a 2-Year Warranty on this product. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, this is actually a decent little projector. However, do your research as there are most models out there and pick the one best suited to your needs. While this project offers some nice features, it also is not as robust as I would expect for the asking price. It offers average specs at a median to medium high price point. Hope this information was helpful. [4 Stars]

> 3 dayComing from a pico projector, I didnt have any experience with a slightly larger unit that needed continuous wall power. Its definitely worth it for the increase in brightness. The thing I was most surprised by was the availability of features and apps in this unit. The overall brightness of this unit is outstanding. If youre looking at an image up to 60, youd have no problem viewing in a room without doing much to cut back on exterior light sources. This was always difficult with our pico projector. Theres also a lot of settings on this unit to help tailor the viewing experience to your liking. I was particularly pleased with the availability of settings for keystone correction and focus to get the picture just right without having to play around with how the projector is sitting in relation to where youre projecting the image/video. The streaming apps available are very useful with this unit. It saves you from needing a secondary streaming device to start watching. Most of the typical apps are available via the app store on the device. A few of these seem more geared towards a tablet, and they require you to use the on-screen mouse to navigate. Not a deal breaker, but this could be better. The only major app I could not find on available on this device is Hulu. The sound quality is pretty impressive considering the size of the unit. Ive not really felt the need yet to incorporate any external speakers to be satisfied with the viewing experience. Overall, for the price, youd be hard pressed to find a better projector.

> 3 dayI’m very Impressed with this projector, This is my second time buying a projector, the first one I bought i paid half of the price compared to this one but I think it’s all worth it, you get what you paid, this projector is smaller than the one I had which is important because my projector holder can only holds up to certain sizes in my room, also this projector produces great quality of pictures that I can see very thing clearly in a closed distance, lastly the projector doesn’t have much of noise that’s very important for me because this projector is installed above my head. Overall I’m happy with this purchase and will recommend it to my friends and families

> 3 dayWorks amazing! Everything came intact, and I’m loving this device. Way cheaper than a tv just as fictional. I play it on my bedroom wall and I can’t express enough how I love it! There are a few minor cons. One being some of the instructions are lil confusing to understand (feel free to ask anything if you need to). Airplay ,’air pin’ on the device only works for videos played online , it states it’s still under development in the device menu. Netflix I’ve had a hard time getting to play but should work fine through a fire stick. Also it doesn’t come with a stand like the picture so you have to purchase one separately ( I just layer it flat on a surface at first the stand it’s only needed if you want to conveniently be able to tilt it). Minor inconveniences to me, cause nonetheless i still have access and can use everything I want! Love it

> 3 dayI bought this projector about 6 months ago and it was working perfectly until about 2 weeks ago I noticed a dark reddish brown spot showing in the bottom right corner. After further research i found it is caused by the LED panel overheating. I am unsure if my device was faulty or if they are just poorly cooled in general. I have reached out to the company via their support email but have not received a response yet. Will update if i do. Update: Did not realize they were on a holiday break when I reached out. Once they were available to answer they were very helpful and will be sending me a replacement at no cost to me. Update: it has been over a week since i re-ordered the product after being promised i would be fully refunded. I have yet to receive that refund nor a response to an email regarding the refund that was sent to them days ago.
