I love the vivid colors and the design. I bought it to build with my 5yo. It is great for a family puzzle because each animal is essentially a miniature puzzle in itself. My kid can pick which animals she wants to build and I can give her the pieces to do it while I take on the parts shes not interested in.

Excellent puzzle. We haves worked 500-1000 piece puzzles with my in-laws every visit for years and brought this one as a gift this year. We are always leery of 1000 piece puzzles because they can take a long time to finish and become frustrating, particularly when there are large areas which are cunningly similar. This puzzle strikes a fine balance of in no way being a cakewalk especially in the bottom third (make sure have bright even illumination to discern the subtle very dark denizens of the deep!), and having a few tricks to play, While being distinctly easy for a puzzle this size, because the color gradient and unique treatment of every animal gives you strong clues to work while areas with. For this reason it was the first puzzle this challenging that my younger kid engaged with; she could actually help without help. Could be a bit more robust and less shiny but it was just fine. No missing pieces, clean cuts, etc as you would expect from a top shelf offering. One of the best puzzle investments we’ve made.

This was a great puzzle to put together until the very end when 1 piece was missing.

Puzzle was fun. Challenging but not painful to finish like some are.
