Race Face Chester Pedal

I am a light trail/XC rider, so these fit the bill perfectly. Very difficult to find a pedal set with the right balance of light weight and performance any where near this price point! The Race Face Chester line of products is a great balance of form, function and value.

Feels like I’m locked in. Great composite pedals. No complaints.

I ordered these for the color as Im developing a color scheme for My bike. I also wanted more pedal surface. The spikes really add to the grip under foot. I like them much and had wonderful communication with the team that make these pedals. Buy again ? Yes !!

I loved the color and its what my LBS told me to get. I grabbed a pair and within the first mile of riding with them, this happened (Photo). My pedal drug on a rock and ripped two of the pins out. The pedals look nice but cant hold up to a pretty normal thing in mountain biking...rocks. I reached out to Raceface and I didnt expect them to replace them but I hoped they would. They didnt, and acted like the pins ripping out like that was expected if you hit a rock. Raceface describes these things as tough...they arent

Reasonably light. Easy to replace grip pegs. Fully rebuildable.

Great bang for your buck - not intended to last a lifetime but gets the job done.

Great upgrade

So I ride these pedals hard… constantly riding downhill/enduro and I personally don’t have issues with the pedals but ofc not every 50 dollar pedal is perfect. The first thing is that these really suck when it is mildly damp or even a little wet. They lose all their grip and if it is muddy they are as good as gone. Second they are big which is a plus for some people but for me they don’t have enough spikes for the amount of space on the pedal cause a loss in grip. Would recommend 10/10 when dry

The adjustable pins are a good feature. I lowerd the pins so i can move my foot position a little easier.

Cant justify spending more than buying these anymore and wont buy copys from everyone else so I recommend these. Lightweight and super durable at a great price. whats not to love!
