Good Ram Mount when you want to bolt it down to secure it better than using 3M tape.

Mounted this under the mirror stalk on my Harley FLHTC. The hole is a little larger than necessary, but I didnt think the one made specifically for mounting under mirrors would work well for my need, given that it is at an angle. Had to file the bottom a little bit to fit a radius on the R/H controls the mirror attaches to, but that only took about 5 minutes. Once that was done it fits great, and is hardly noticeable when not being used to mount something to.

I purchased this ball mount to hold my iPhone on my motorcycle. I attempted to mount it using one of the bolts from my handlebars, but it broke as I tightened the bolt down. The metal Ram uses is light weight, but is also not able to withstand a lot of pressure. The products Ram makes are for motorcycles and vehicles so you would think they would make them out of a higher quality material. I have other Ram products and am very happy with them, but this one should be made with a higher strength material.

Most motorcycle mirrors are 10mm threaded, this is designed to go between the mirror and the bike, the mirror holds the mount, and the mount holds about anything you care to put on it. Its simple, cheap and effective.
