Raspberry Pi RASPBERRY-PI3-CASE Official Raspberry Pi 3 Case, Red/White

Its good quality and easy to set up. However, I find myself having take the top and sides off, as the CPU overheats with them on, even with a heat-sink on. Granted, I have it overclocked, but its still something to keep in mind.

Highly modular! I got this ones because the one I received prior to this one did not have enough opening to remove the SD card easily. On top, you can keep the top only open, or the side(s) only. So, if youre using the GPIOs, you can benefit from this feature. The color combination is very cute looking.

I am happy with the case and the modular nature makes it very functional in any configuration I can imagine. And it looks good too.

Simple, yet great product. Great price. But if the Pi 3 gets really hot (when using without heat sinks and running Ubuntu Software Center from UbuntuMATE), I could smell the red plastic part of the case. No issues of that kind when I ran Raspbian or others that came with NOOBS

Case fits the Pi really well and is nicely modular. Production quality seems hit-or-miss. I have 3 of these cases and the side panels rattle on 2 of them. I have a RetroPie arcade setup housed in one, and its sufficiently protected and attractive to leave laying out in front of the TV.

amazing case. i love that the white portions can come off if youre running some crazy stuff and need more ventilation. with this case i just throw my pi into my backpack now with little regard if itll get crushed by my laptop or not. port holes like up excellent. get this case

A really nice case for the RPI; requires some fiddling to get the sides to stay together during assembly, but once done, everything snaps into place quite well. Not sure how well the airflow will work under heavy, sustained load, but I havent had any issues so far.

I have 4 of these cases and I love them. I tried 3 other brands (also popular on Amazon) but simply decided to use this case for all my Raspberry Pi 3 B+. The main reason is that you can put the case together in a matter of seconds, literally. Some other cases I bought required 10-15 minutes assembly. The fit is perfect. I put 4 stars instead of 5 because there are ways it could be improved. On my wish list: add a fan for ventilation. make the top cover a little higher (2-3mm) to allow more space for cabling the GPIO. On the attached pictures, I have customized the case to add a fan. At the price you cant go wrong. Give it a chance. I am certainly glad I did.

No extra steps are needed for installation, just fits my raspberry pi 3 right out of the box.
