Raspberry Pi RASPBERRY-PI3-CASE Official Raspberry Pi 3 Case, Red/White

The quality of this case is what one would expect for its price. Its solid material and wont break/crack on impact if dropping onto a hard surface. All the pieces fit perfectly and have a solid click upon constructing it. My gripe is the side panel on the power/HDMI side was not built properly. The HDMI cable Im using (Amazon brand) does not go in all the way into my Raspberry Pie with the panel on. I had to remove the panel for the cable to connect. Overall, the case is decent and the side panel isnt a huge deal but Id recommend spending money on a nicer case.

I am happy with the case and the modular nature makes it very functional in any configuration I can imagine. And it looks good too.

This is a great case. Its from Raspberry, so they have put much thoughts in the build and design. See pictures. It fits our new Raspberry Pi 3 snug! Very happy with the features it offer, it requires no tools to assemble. The board sits perfect. It has the correct LED light spots for the new design. All ports are exposed properly. The microSD card is accessible without needing to open the case. GPIO pins are exposed on the side if you want to connect it or also able to do that with the top open while still covering other components of the Pi. The only small downside could be that that they would have given room for some airflow on the bottom of the case for air circulation and cooling. The ICUs at the bottom tend to get hot sometimes (even with the heat sinks on, but not too much. Overall this is a great buy and we are very happy with the case design and how well it fits the Pi. Our daughter loved the case. :)

Packaging says “RasPi 3 Case” but this is clearly for a RasPi 4. None of the ports will line up. What a waste of time. I would reorder another one but the price has since gone up over 50%!!!

No instructions, which is okay since it is pretty easy. Unfortunately there is a small hard to see slot where your memory card is supposed to slide into from the bottom. I already had mine in and it broke in half when I was trying to shut the case. Feels pretty flimsy I wouldnt use it for more than a dust cover, Im pretty sure it would blast apart at the slightest bump. Every seam has a gap. Overall I am pretty disappointed that this is the official case.

Great Pi case, easy to assemble and holds the pi board securely. I like the modular aspect of it and I think it looks pretty sharp. Will buy again for my next Pi project.

Pros: Cheap The top and side panels come off so you can get to the pi without having to fully remove the case which is a great feature! Cons: None, it works as intended.

Nice simple case. Cant go wrong if you just need something simole and inexpensive. Eazsy access to the Pi inside.

This case was easy to put together as it snaps together. I had it assembled in under a minute with no instruction. The pi fits very nicely inside. The only issue I have with the case is that it contains the heat from the pi too easily. Because of this, I have a fan blowing on it. Eventually I may just upgrade to a different case entirely as to fix this issue. As of right now, I will stick with the case I have.

I generally dont review items, but this thing is outstanding. Fits perfectly, makes it much easier to plug in devices and you can be a little harsher when handling the Pi. The colors are good and it feels solid. Only complaint is that its a little expensive, but I think its worth it if you need an enclosure for you Pi. It even has slightly opaque ports for the lights, which adds a little flair.
