Raswik (2 Pack) 4 Privacy Hook and Eye Latch for Sliding Barn Door, Black

These are some serious hook & eyes. Theyre not actually hook and eye like the screw type most people are familiar with but rather have bases for the hooks and receptacle loop into which each have a pair of screw holes for mounting (screws are included). I bought mine to mount the hook to the sides of my utility shed and the loop to the doors to keep the wind from blowing them closed while Im working inside. The fact too that theyre 4” long makes them large enough to fit just right. They come with a heavy black paint applied to them but I have spray painted them hunter green to match the rest of the hardware on my shed, and when it warms up a bit I look forward to installing them.

This is the heftiest latch of this type I have ever used. I have one set of heavily trafficked outside doors in the snowbelt in NE Ohio and was going through about 1 or two of the cheaper, self tapping latches a year, not to mention them pulling out of the wood forcing me to make new anchor points. With the two screw base plates and overall beef, I think the doors will need replaced before the latch.

These hooks are great quality. Very hefty and heavy duty for their size, and super easy to install. They look great on our barn doors! The company have also been fantastic - we had a shipping issue that they sorted super quickly for us to make sure we got the hooks as soon as possible.

Easy to install

I was debating various methods for a way to lock my kids closet doors which are sliding barn doors. Ive tried child locks and they never worked. I didnt want to damage the doors and make a hole for a slide lock in middle. These worked wonderfully and can be put up at a height the kids cannot reach as well they are very versatile in where i can attach them on wall/door! When it comes time the kids are old enough not to dig into closet and make a mess, they are easy to remove and the screw holes will be so small they will not be noticeable on the doors. I love it!
