I received 2 larger sized rocks and one smaller rock, over all I think it’s a great deal for the 3. I love that you can tie this salt up and it doesn’t get knocked down and lost like other blocks. The best part is that my horses love this stuff! I will keep buying as long as these rocks continue to keep my horses happy. Thank you Redmond!

The horses love them. I bought 6 to hang in each stall. Only draw back is the high humidity days they sweat a bit which causes them to run down stall wall.

I bought these for my Standardbred and Arabian horses. They hang in their stalls all year round and both horses love them. My standardbred tends to bite through the pink salt on a rope but doesnt with these. They last until the tiniest bit gets licked off the rope. We live in the northeast and my vet also recommended them for their mineral content so the Redmond Rock is all I will use.

It took awhile for my horse to try it and then it was gone!. Turns out, once he tried it he loved it. As for lasting longer that reg Himalayan salt, I dont find that to be true for my horse. But he loves it and I will continue to order it. I would like for there to be larger sizes. My Percheron/Quarter horse is going through it pretty fast.

My horse loves Redmond Rock. The rock is easy to hang and lasts 3-4 months for my horse. The three pack is convenient to have.

All three of my horses prefer the Redmond Rock and so they use it. During these super hot days even when they are kept in the shade during the day to reduce sweating they need and will take in salt. The product came quickly and since I use amazon prime there is not shipping.

Why and How to Use It

Looking for a versatile and travel-friendly mineral lick for your horse? Try Redmond Rock on a Rope! It provides the same benefits, equine electrolytes, and trace minerals as original Redmond Rock—but comes on a handy hemp rope. Our smaller-sized 3-5 pound salt rock is great for hanging in your horse’s stall, tying to a gate, or traveling in your trailer. Buy a single rock or get a three-pack to stock the Rock anywhere your horse goes.

Tips for Using Rock on a Rope

  • Tie it tight against a post to make it easy for your horse to lick.
  • Hang the rock slack in your horse"s stall to create a fun and healthy toy.
  • Tie it to a fence outside to keep the rock out of the dirt and mud.
  • Tie it low on a gate so your horse maintains a natural foraging posture.

Horses thrive on the minerals Redmond Rock provides. Often when given the rock for the first time, mineral deficient horses won’t leave it alone! The minerals in Redmond Rock help bring horses back into natural mineral balance and encourage them to drink more. In addition to the Rock, always provide horses access to fresh water to ensure they stay hydrated.
