Works, but you should use a breaker bar. The pivot bolts have red loctite and will not come out with an impact gun.

This tool is a must have for removing the hinge pins on your outdrive. Like literally, you MUST buy the tool. Like a dummy I thought I could find another way to remove the pins, but I ended up needing this tool anyway. FYI - A 12 point triple square metric set does NOT contain the correct size needed. I used this tool on a Mercruiser Alpha One Gen 2 outdrive. Worked perfectly and got the job done. Seems to be solid and well made.
