> 3 dayTested this on several plugs in my house. It worked well and showed me that everything was as it should be. I did switch the hot and neutral legs on one plug just to be sure it would detect an issue, and it did. Happy with this tester.

> 3 dayI have no baseline for various faults in my outlets. It seems to light up when you plug it in, but I am not sure about the accuracy. It is also a bit flimsy for tighter outlets and I’m concerned it will break.

> 3 dayThis tester is a must have for any homeowner. Dont rely solely on a NCV tester when dealing with outlets. This will let you know at a glance if your outlet has power and whether its wired correctly. This is as basic as you can get for an outlet tester but most of the time thats all you need. It doesnt have a GFCI test rip button (although it will test a GFCI outlet just fine). Ive had one of these in my toolbox for many years. Recently the ground prong broke loose so it was time to get a new one. This one did the trick.

> 3 dayThe first one I got was defective. It kept saying that my neutral was open which I know was incorrect and I even went through the trouble of verifying the house wiring. So I think it was just a dead bulb in the tester, or some similar defect. I sent it back and got a good working one. You can see in the picture how the Klein tester shows that there are no issues with the outlet while this product indicate that there is an open neutral. Quality Issues is not what you want on equipment you use for testing, so my recommendation is to just pay a little more for a well know brand one like Klein.
