> 3 dayThis dye works as it should, so long as you follow the instructions. Personally, use a 5 gallon bucket, throw in a cup of salt, squirt in a shot of dish soap, add about 3 gallons of boiling water, then add the items I want to dye and keep them moving in the bucket with a broom handle for about 5 minutes. I then let them soak in the dye mixture until cool enough to handle by hand, then wring them out (wear gloves!) and wash as usual. It really is that simple.

Greater than one weekI had a white cotton bath mat that always looked dirty. White rugs, ugh! So I dyed the runner navy blue, using both bottles of Rit in the front load washer. Came out great, very dark blue, toward the purplish end. So much better than white for hiding footprints and dirt (especially as we remodel, and thus walk around covered in sawdust and such!). I dried the mat in the dryer without any problems. My washer gasket wasnt stained by the dye, although I made sure to immediately run a bleach load to ensure it was dye-free. Quite pleased that I saved this nice cotton bath mat from eventually being thrown away for being irretrievably dingy.

> 3 dayBrings skirts , sweaters, slacks, leggings and all other school uniforms back to life ! Makes just about everything look new again.. works on all sorts of fabrics. Easiest and cleanest way to use is in the washing machine ( just make sure to give a last rinse , once clothes are in the dryer). Read directions- simple!

> 3 dayThe only instructions that came with this product was on the bottle in tinny tiny letters, and did not give enough step by step instructions for anyone who had never used this type of product before
