Greater than one weekI know this comes up as a keyboard for gaming. Last time I gamed with any regularity was getting Mrs. Pacman to eat ghosts and cherries, or with my space battleship shooting down invaders marching back and forth across my screen. I dont know how this keyboard works with games today...mostly because I have no idea about games today! It caught my attention for two other reasons...First, I travel for work and hate working off the laptop keyboard. I thought this would be a nice compact keyboard that I could pop in my computer bag and use wherever Im working. It seems to work okay for this purpose. Ive used it only for a few minutes, but it seems to be typing fine. Pictures shows its size compared to my other bluetooth wireless keyboard. The LED lighting is a cool effect. Its a mechanical keyboard, so pressing the keys feels very substantial and old school. I have not tried it as wireless yet as I am currently charging it. I have no idea what hot-swappable means so I cant make any comment on how well this feature works. I also intend to use this on my Roku TV instead of the point and click keyboard on screen for entering in searches and username/passwords. Im giving it a presumed 5 stars now because it types out what I am writing and looks cool. I will update if I come across any other issues as I explore using this.

> 3 dayThis RK61 Plus is a feature packed keyboard. It seems to do everything in its feature set quite well. Ive been using this as my daily keyboard for a few weeks straight. I do gaming and work at my computer so Ive put this board through its paces. Out of the box you get the keyboard, a USB-C to USB-C cable, which also has a USB-C to USB-A adapter attached. This is a nice touch and it allows for wider compatibility as USB-C gets more and more popular. It also includes four extra key switches as a well as a combination key cap and key switch puller. This keyboard uses SkyCyan switches, which are linear switches. They remind me of red switches but with a little bit more actuation force. The switches appear to be lubed and have a nice sound. The board is hot swappable, meaning you can change your switches out for tactile and other linear switches if you dont like the SkyCyan switches. The board uses north facing RGB LEDs. In terms of connectivity the board supports bluetooth, 2.4ghz via the included USB-A dongle which is located under the keyboard, or wired use via USB. When you use the keyboard via the wired connection there is a USB-A and USB-C port on the back of the keyboard that you can also use to plug in additional peripherals like a mouse. This is limited to USB 2.0 speeds, and only works when using the wired connection. Battery life for the board has been good. I assume if youre doing lots of RGB all of the time the battery life will be shorter, but typically I just have a slight backlight or no lighting at all. The software for customization and lighting works well. Its got a lot of different effects you can use to customize the look of your board. The included keycaps are solid and have a nice feel when you are typing. They are not shine through keycaps which is a plus to me. There seems to be a misconception that a 60% keyboard uses narrower keys than a standard keyboard, and that is simply untrue. This board uses the standard size key caps and has a standard bottom row of keys so if youre looking to swap the key caps in the future you can get standard sets. The included key caps have nice legends that help you to learn the function layers of this keyboard. They are not overly intrusive and blend in well with the rest of the aesthetic of this keyboard. This keyboard bring a lot of features and is a good value if you are looking for a versatile mechanical 60% keyboard that works well in a wired or wireless setup.

> 3 dayThis is my second Royal Kludge keyboard, and I must say Im very impressed with the brand. My main use case for this is as a portable keyboard for the Steam Deck and other mobile devices, and in that it excels. Pros: - Compact but easy to use. I thought Id miss having dedicated keys for arrows, pagedown, etc., but at least for my use case they werent too necessary. - LED lighting is decent, and the different colored keycaps make it easy to see which keys youre hitting from the corner of your eye. - Excellent USB ports and nice to have Bluetooth + 2.4GHz connection options. - Keys and mechanical SkyCyan switches feel and sound great, except... Cons: - If theres one thing I didnt like, the spacebar is a little loud and hollow-sounding when you press it. Not a big deal, and it could be adjusted by modding! Overall, its a very solid 60% keyboard that works well and feels great to use. Im not expecting to get into keyboard modding much, but it seems friendly towards customization if thats your thing. If you want something still compact, but slightly larger (by an extra row of keys), Id also recommend checking out Royal Kludges RK68 line of keyboards for comparison.

> 3 dayIf this was a full-size keyboard, I would say this is the best keyboard I have ever used and felt. The keypresses feel very nice and professional. The cushion added makes the keys feel perfect. The supports in the Enter and Backspace spaces feel amazing. You will be impressed with this keyboard and the keys. This keyboard does not have arrow keys by default. Note this first if you plan to get this keyboard. There are modes you can turn on, and one mode you can turn on is to use specific keys as the arrow keys, but you will then have to switch the mode (FN -> Enter) every time you want to use the / character. The RGB modes are nice to use. I have tested Bluetooth and a MacBook Pro M1 and it worked with no issues. I tested the USB port with the USB memory stick and the computer saw the memory stick. I used Bluetooth wireless and it worked on battery power. The keys feel like Cherry MX Brown. They are pretty quiet keys. It will not be a keyboard that people will complain is lound. The cushion helps disapate most of the sound. The key pressing force is just enough. It is not a super sensitive key, so I would not use it for gaming. But for typing and programming it would be a great keyboard. Pros: - Keys pressing - USB Memory stick option - Bluetooth - Rechargeable batteries - RGB - All keys are visible without RGB. Cons: - I wish it had the arrow and PageUp, ... keys - Wish it came with a coiled USB cable Overall I like this keyboard a lot. I will probably use this as my traveling keyboard since I have to travel a lot. If it had the arrow keys and PageUp,... section, I would make this my daily keyboard. I will look to see if they make a similar keyboard that is bigger. If you are looking for a new keyboard that small, this is probably one of the best keyboards you can get.

Greater than one weekThis is a very good keyboard for the price and punches well above its weight. At the list price of $76, its not bad, but at the time of writing its marked down to $60, and at that price point this is basically a steal. The packaging is good, no worries there. Included you get the keyboard, manual, extra switches, combo switch/keycap puller, and a usb-c cable. The included extra switches and switch puller are a really nice touch, and kind of signal to buyers that although this keyboard is already good stock, feel free to mess around with it. The included cable is fine, nothing special. Would have liked to see a braided cable at least, but again, not a huge deal. Out of the box, this is a good keyboard. Though Im not a fan of linear switches personally, the switches feel smooth and would be fine without lubing. Stabilizers have a decent amount of lube so they also aound fine, but theyre also clip in stabilizers so they can only get so good. The keycaps are fine, nothing special. They are doubleshot, so the legends wont fade, and the legends all look good. The real selling point of this keyboard though is the connectivity options. You can do wireless, either bluetooth or 2.4ghz, which means this will be usuable for gaming without any noticeable latency. You can also use it wired, and if you do it has a usb hub built in, freeing up another usb port on your machine. Also, the switches are hotswap, so while I personally dont like linear switches, its very easy to swap those out for something else.

> 3 dayAfter setting up the keyboard to my laptop, many of the key dont even work - all the number keys and few of the letters. Wouldnt recommend buying this. Waste of $60...
