The lights are great

everything is perfect. great size, super bright, many different color settings, its super cute, the switches sound good it even comes with extra ones. perfect for a smaller gaming setup

As the title says, I find this little keyboard to be great value for the price. It is compact, feel just heavy enough and you cant beat the fact that you have a mechanical keyboard thats hot swappable for just under $50. Might feel a bit cramped for long playing sessions since its only a 60% but it is a great daily driver. The variety of RGB modes is quite nice as well, and the quality of the brown switches, while not amazing, is quite acceptable. The only thing that would make this a 5 star would be the backlight being a bit brighter.

Ive had a lot of keyboards over the decades. Most recently an RK68 Pro. I switched from the RK68 Pro with Gateron brown switches to this RK61 non-Pro with red switches. The typing experience is far superior on the RK61! Its smoother, quieter, and significantly less expensive. The RK68 Pro had janky wireless connectivity, so it was useless with the receiver inches from the keyboard. This RK61 is smooth as butter, wired, and has tons of lighting options. Also, Ive never used the RK software with these keyboards. I dont like having extra software for peripherals. Thankfully its not needed.

First off, this is a solid keyboard. It looks small (and it is, even says Ultra Compact) but it has some heft to it. With the rubber feet on the base you know that this isnt going to jitter around your desk with every tap. The keys have a nice clack to them like any good mechanical keyboard and typing on it feels very satisfying. Lots of different RGB effects and colors, these are really well done if you care about that kind of thing. That being said, I couldnt use this for gaming. Most the games I play make use of a the numpad, F1-F12 keys, and more. Thats on me, I didnt read the description well enough and I did give it a good shot. If your games dont use these keys or you can get by using the FN key then great. I moved this over to my office computer and so far its been a great switch over the Dell keyboard that came with it.

Snagged this keyboard for $45 on Cyber Monday. I didnt need the bluetooth version, so this was a great item to buy at the time. I have had some connectivity issues, but I think it is due to my mobo usb panel. Since switching the usb to my PC case ones, I havent experienced any issues since. I am a college student, who sometimes games, and the difference from switching from a cheap membrane off-brand gaming keyboard is INSANE. Love the feeling of the switches and keys. But of course, I will need to get used to it. I am thinking of modding this board in the future. So far, I have been enjoying it and I think it is a great keyboard.

im not really a fan of how u have to get to certain buttons but then again, its only 60% of a normal keyboard. Another problem i had was downloading the software. other then that, its great

the rk61 is a great keyboard for gaming it’s also great for modding knowing its able to hotswap the switches i recommend with the rk61 are the red switches mostly because they are quiter and are good for gaming.
