I’ve had this keyboard for about 2 years and it still works great! I have it plugged into my pc now and is my main keyboard. Good budget gaming keyboard! And it comes with a key cap puller, switch puller, and extra switches.

My first 60% keyboard. There is some learning curve with your hand position, but its no big deal. The presets make it easy to customize the lights of turn them off. Very easy plug and play with my desktop. The angle of the keyboard is everything Ive ever wanted for my wrists. Usually with every keyboard I have to find creative ways to prop it up if they dont have good enough flip out stands. So far Im very impressed. I got the brown switches after reading and watching reviews from tech nerds like myself. It comes with extra switches and a tool to safely remove the caps. The USB-C connector makes it easy to replace if it gets damaged or lost.

Edit: So shortly after my review they reached out to me offering me a replacement keyboard and a bunch of help they didnt even have to do and it was extremely appreciated. Their customer support is on point! The more time I spend with the RK61 the more I enjoy it. The software issues have gone away and the keyboard works flawlessly. Ive also updated the review with pictures. Im using Akko Crystal Clear switches which make the RGB brighter and it looks perfect, these switches have a bit more thock than the brown switches I chose for the RK61. The stock brown switches do sound great too. I plan on getting blank keycaps, a custom spacebar and call it the day. People ask how I type so fast, I just say its because Im using the RK61 and it feels amazing to type with. So I was extremely displeased with this purchase when I originally received the RK61 which Ill explain in this review. After a few more days with this keyboard, it has actually grown on me. Ill separate this review in 2 sections, pros and cons. Pros: R61 is a great beginner keyboard for those getting into mechanical keyboards such as myself due to its mod potential and price. I purchased the version with brown tactile switches which I eventually swapped out to the akko crystal clear tactile 5 pin switches (makes the RGB appear brighter too). The original switches and keycaps feel amazing stock and sound fantastic. The board itself doesnt feel too heavy nor too light but just sturdy enough for its size that gives it a great satisfying feel. 60% leaves a lot of space on my desk which I need for gaming and also allows me enough space to get a regular sized keyboard if I ever choose to for my set up. I do plan on doing more mods later down the line such as bandaid mod, lubing, styrofoam, etc. when I feel more comfortable approaching those mods. Cons: The worst part of this keyboard is the software. The software actually doesnt work at all and shows a no matching device found with no fix. There are You Tube videos that provide links to different softwares that work with the RK61 {which do feel sketchy} but work nonetheless. Another big drawback are they fn functions short cuts. For example it took me a couple hours to realize that I have to use the right shift to type the ? which is extremely counter intuitive. The delete function requires pressing 3 separate keys which is also counter intuitive and there isnt any way to change this in the softwares Ive mentioned in this segment. The last huge drawback for me is that sometimes when I start my PC and start doing what ever Im doing, I notice the keyboard isnt working properly or is glitched out where the keys arent activating or the secondary keys are activating without me pressing fn or shift. The only fix for this is to reset they keyboard by pressing and holding fn + spacebar for 5 seconds. All of this information I had to research myself.. Lastly, the RGB lights arent bright at all but changing to the akko crystal clear switches, made the RGB appear more brighter. I may or may not swap to pudding keycaps to make the RK61 brighter. For $40 (sale and $4 coupon) this couldve been slightly better in terms of quality, especially for how much YouTubers hype up this keyboard. However after giving this keyboard a chance Ive started enjoying the RK61. I do suggest trying out some mods for the RK61 and there are ways to make the RGB brighter if that is a deciding factor for you. Im rating this 3 stars because the hardware and price is great but the software and glitches definitely bring down the quality of the RK61.

I have been wanting a 60% keyboard for a very long time and was debating between the Royal Kludge and the Anne Pro. Im so happy I went with the Royal Kludge Rk61 because not only was it on the cheaper end, but its such a great keyboard in general! The RBGs are amazing, so many light options and you can make it as bright or as dim as you want. I got it with the blue switches, and while its on the louder side, its not bad sounding at all. I mainly use it for work, so I havent tested it out for gaming, but theres no lag at all and works very smoothly. Only downside is that there isnt any bluetooth option, but its not that big of a deal in the end. Overall, if you are looking for a 60% keyboard I say get this. Its a great mechanical keyboard that wont break the bank, its slanted for people who have sensitive wrists like me, and runs super smooth!

I love the fact that it is so easy to modify, and customize. It is the perfect starting keyboard for someone who wants to customize it.

I purchased this keyboard for my son which he absolutely loved. Until it stopped working and it was passed the return window. I reached out to RK ROYAL KLUDGE and received top notch customer service. It took a few days after troubleshooting and emailing back and forth but it was concluded it needed to be replaced. They also offered a refund but I chose replacement as my son really wanted it. Thank you RK ROYAL KLUDGE!

This is the best budget keyboard you can get. K have never even thought of replacing this keyboard. This is hot swap which is good and can support all types of switches. The only issue i had is when i tried putting durock stabilizers in and i had to use so much force to get it in. Other than that it sounds nice stock and will sound nice with some mods. If you are considering a different brand at the same price, don’t because in the end this is the best one.
