This little keyboard is an amazing value. I was quite surprised when i opened this package. First of all, it does not feel like a toy at all. It feels like a small but hefty weighty little keyboard. The keys are a bit springy but they are full-sized and Velocity Sensitive. So, for less than $30 shipped you get a nice compact beefy little MIDI controller keyboard that runs on 3 AA batteries. Oh man, this is exactly what i was needing in my studio. Within less than a minute, i was already hooked up to my MIDI Synthesizer and playing away on these Velocity Sensitive keys..... WOW!!! it works perfectly. For the money, you cant beat this. If you are looking for a small but capable batter powered MIDI controller with limited features, this is it. Im thrilled with this purchase and i was skeptical. I dont know about using it with Rock Band 3 or Wireless since i dont have Rock Band 3 but it works GREAT for what i bought it for. Thanks to some of the other cool reviews here from musicians who were very pleased with this little MIDI controller. You guys helped me make my decision, and evens tho i could not imagine such value for the money, here it IS. wow! buy it!!!

This is a great quality keyboard for a Rock Band interment. It doesnt feel cheap and its a lot of fun to play in Rock Band 3. Note that not all songs in Rock Band 3 support keyboard, but enough to make it a worth-while purchase.

Works exactly as its supposed to in Rock Band. As a keyboard you can use only the 5 colored keys and rock it as a keytar; it even has strap buttons and an overdrive switch. In Pro Mode the songs are adjusted so that you never need more keys than you have. However, for Pro Mode Id suggest either scrounging up the keyboard stand or a good TV tray because youre going to need both hands. This keyboard can even be used to play either the Bass or Guitar in Rock Band which is a good thing if you have a young player who understands the color-button-timeline thing but cant coordinate two hands yet. Just be careful to not lose the included and very necessary dongle.

After purchasing Rock Band 3 and seeing the the promotional videos about this keyboard, I was really excited to purchase the keyboard to go with my game. I got my keyboard this evening and played the practice mode for about 30 minutes. During that 30 minutes, the video in the game stopped but the audio continued. About 10 seconds later, the video resumed. I shrugged it off as a one time glitch. Then when I started playing some more, the video froze again and after about 3 minutes I had no other option that to turn off the Wii and restart. After that, I put the keyboard back in the box and pointed my browser to the amazon online return store to get my shipping label to send this back for a refund. Something else that was annoying about this controller is the you couldnt use it until you were in the game. So you have to get another Wii remote out to start up the game, then once the game is launched, you can join using the keyboard. The instructions that came with the keyboard were very weak too. They basically told you how to put the batteries in, hook on the shoulder strap and sync the device (via a USB dongle that has to remain plugged into the back of your Wii while using this controller).

I am using it as a midi controller, and its pretty good. The keys were sticking a tiny bit on the first dozen presses or so, but after a little use its solid. One thing Im still not sure about is velocity channels. It does support velocity on some pianos I tried, and presets and octaves could be changed from the keytar itself. Overall, its a great little performance controller for adding a little nerdcore to your show.

Works as advertised and no issues with connectivity. I like that it has a MIDI out so I can use it as a controller in Garage Band.
