I cant believe this thing doesnt get more press coverage. This is worth all twenty of the dollars it costs. My three complaints are that you have to use batteries, you have to hold down a button to pitch bend, you cant change the MIDI channel, and worst of all you have to hold down a button to pitch bend (why didnt they make it the other way around??). Oh well.

I purchased this because it was a new instrument to Rock Band but was apprehensive thinking it might be too difficult to learn. WOW was I wrong... My 12 year old is already playing pro keys after a few weeks with no prior piano lessons. Every one of our family members loves playing on it.

Not enough of the song support the keyboard to make it worth it in my opinion. We have 3 guitars, the keyboard, and 3 mics. Switching this in and out for songs that actually support keyboard got to be too much. It doesnt see the light of day, even when the game still does now and then.

First item I have gotten for the hubby for our wii... we were given a drum set, microphone and guitar... So we can now play some rockband...

I am using it as a midi controller, and its pretty good. The keys were sticking a tiny bit on the first dozen presses or so, but after a little use its solid. One thing Im still not sure about is velocity channels. It does support velocity on some pianos I tried, and presets and octaves could be changed from the keytar itself. Overall, its a great little performance controller for adding a little nerdcore to your show.

My son is using this more as a midi controller for iPad than for Rock Band. It works fine for both! Only drawback Id the lack of an octave shift function, but there may be one hidden yet - hell find it if there is. It seems to be built comparable to some of the lower-priced Akai or Alesis controllers.

Got this for my musically inclined friend who could not really get into the other Rock-band instruments. He loves it. A little too much, truth be told. Bit of a hog actually. I mean, if you get somebody something like this you sort of expect them to let you have a turn eventually. But nooo! Cant be bothered to take a turn on the microphone so that you can play fake piano for 5 minutes. See if I get you anything for your next birthday.
