My camper came with a little adapter for 110v that plugged into the wall but used my 30A cord. This adapter allows me to use a much smaller 12/3 cord to plug in my camper while at home, and that cord is so much easier to manage

Now I dont have to get out my heavy 50a cord to plug in at my house. So much easier.

The adapter works great. no issues so far while testing with a Westinghouse Model # WGen5300DF generator and CHAMPION POWER EQUIPMENT 25-Foot 30-Amp 125-Volt Fan-Style Generator Extension Cord (L5-30P to three 5-15R) Model # 48034.

The plug is fine, but the straight through design of the adapter will be a problem if the TT-30P is inserted into a vertically facing receptacle because of the downward leverage from the weight of a 30amp cord beyond the L5-30 connection will pull the TT-30P out. To stay connected, the L5-30 connection and cord need to be supported near the level of the adapter. This is why most TT-30P plugs are right-angled, so the weight of the cord is straight down at a sharp 90 degrees down that doesnt dislodge the plug.

Works as advertised, installs easy

Great for just charging batteries or some light when your in your driveway instead of dragging out that larger version that you would use at the KOA

For the price, this converter is a must have. It allows me to connect my generator or solar power without lugging out the expensive and heavy electrical cable that came with my camper. And when at home, I can just plug in a cheap extension cord to keep the batteries charged, the refrigerator cold, etc. It’s great and should be on every campers list of must-haves.
