I was selected to trial the beta, so after following the unnecessarily complicated directions from Sony, I kind of thought this would fit. It did with zero problems and runs fast and smooth. Cant really comment on durability or longevity, just because I havent had it that long. I also bought a heat sink through Amazon and would recommend anyone else do the same as well, just make sure it fits!

Works great in my ps5. I got the one without a heatsink and installed my heatsink.

Things move on quickly in Computers. These are no longer up to current speeds. Check out the WD SN850 and WD SN850X (Both available on Amazon) or hold off until the new Gen5 drives arrive.

Its fast very fast had mine for about 3 months now And it loads windows in about 12 seconds im kicking myself for not buying a bigger one But I have 2 more m.2 slots so I will just have to buy another one

UPDATE: First i will mention I have 2 of these. One broke after 1 week and second soon after. Many times on Boot I can not see the drive. To make it appear i need to restart PC sometimes few times. I polulated it into different Slots and same shit is happening. The drive can also disappear in Windows10 suddenly. Im in 30 days return window still. Lucky Me. I go for another WD SN850 which still works.

Excellent super quick drive!

So I already had an aftermarket heatsink for my WD Black SN850 1TB nvme m.2 2280 SSD that I ordered off Amazon when I got the SSD for my PS5. At the time there wasnt very many options and the 1TB WD Black SN850s with on-board heatsinks were either all sold out or going for a 100% mark up. Thus I purchased an aftermarket chinese heatsink built for going in a PC with lots of airflow. When I went to remove the SSD when this Sabrent heatsink, built specifically for the PS5, came in you wouldnt believe how hot that heatsink was. Even with a a layer of thermal pads sandwiched between the heatsink and the SSD. This Sabrent heatsink does what its intended to do. It creates more metallic (aluminum) surface area for the heat to disperse into and away from the SSD. While still utilizing the negative pressure design of the PS5 to remove heat from the expansion card port. The fan also draws new air over the top of the heatsink as well which helps keeps temperatures in check. My dislikes are that the thermal pad provided and pre-installed to the heatsink feels less like a thermal pad and more like a foam one. The thermal pad only goes on the top of the SSD with this design as well. So if you have a double-sided SSD you might want to find a better solution. My last gripe about the thermal pad is its length. Its short enough to only cover a 80mm long SSD. So if for some reason you have a 110mm drive you might want to buy a different thermal pad as well.

Was pricier than other heat sinks and bought based on good reviews. Arrived with paint damaged and does not fit properly into ps5. Bought two. Would not recommend.
