Wife got me 4 of the 2TB, since we liked the two 1tb I already owned. I initialized them, everything seemed fine. Copied my data over and the next day 2 of them werent showing up. I looked in the bios and they were there. I went to storage management and it said I needed to initialize those 2 drives again. I said fine, Ive got the data backed up. Chose to initialize and got the error message that Ive chosen a device that does not exist.

Lighting fast boot times and still well above 90% life left after 10 months daily usage booting an average of 3 times a day and running for about 10 hours per day. Both faster and cooler by 10 degrees than my 2 year older Gen 3 Toshiba RD400 which is still working brilliantly as well. Definitely recommend this product version and well worth the slightly extra cost over the next model down just for the extra performance if nothing else.

Hi, a heatsink is essential if you are installing an SSD into a PS5 and the SSD doesnt include a built-in heatsink. Its recommended all over the place and bought on my Sons recommendation. Its also not a fortune and seems to work well. Thoroughly recommended.

I watched a lot of different videos to make my decision on this purchase. For the money I’ve been extremely happy. The read write speeds are as good as advertised and with a heat sink this hard drive really performs amazing!!! I’ve just transferred 6 games approx 400gb from main HD to the Sabrant and it took less than 5 minutes, Awesome!!! Now comes the longevity test and hopefully the next review on that will be as good as this review.

This SSD is perfect as additional storage in the PS5. Pair it with the Sabrent PS5 heatsink for the perfect combination (other heatsinks work, but putting the plate back on increases the heat, whereas the Sabrent PS5 one replaces that plate, leading to the most efficient cooling possible on the console).

Slightly faster on paper, but more importantly, the drive can be rewritten far more often before degradation than the 980 pro. It’s running well, benchmarks are to expectation. Get at least a 1TB model to maximize write speeds ( I have the 2TB)
