> 3 dayI am very pleased with this item and the sellers service. This will do everything I need. It is a great upgrade from my 1980s vintage Radio Shack helping Hands! This has a lot more flexibility.

Greater than one weekUsed this setup to do some soldering. Nice set of helping hands, which can be reconfigured however is necessary. The light and the magnifying glass help too.

> 3 dayIt was time for me to upgrade my helping hands. This is a much nicer set than the one I previously had. It is very versatile and comes with 4 bending arms, 2 long and 2 short and 4 circuit board holders. It does not come with instructions so I had to refer back to the amazon ad to find out what the pointed pieces were for. They are for holding circuit boards.

> 3 dayThis helping hands is absolutely worth the money! Ive had ones before where they have a spring motion in the arm, so when you place it and then let go, it springs away half an inch. Very frustrating when working with small electronics! But not with this one! While the longest arms have a little bit of this, its so minimal and predictable that I have no issues getting everything aligned! I also like that the arms can be placed anywhere on the metal base, allowing for a high level of flexibility in how I can arrange both the arms and the illuminated lens. While I dont solder for a living, and I certainly dont claim to know everything, I can say that this is the best Helping Hands that I have ever used and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for one!

> 3 dayThis has a very heavy steel base with a nice finish. The arms are nicely flexible and hold their positions well. The clips are nicely made and have a smooth chrome finish. They are much nicer than the alligator clips used on most of the smaller helping hands devices Ive seen (and have a couple of). The magnifying glass doesnt distort. The adjustable ring light is nice. I thought I would only use it on the brightest setting, but I actually find it useful to adjust it brighter and dimmer depending on what components Im working on and where on the board they are located. The board holders work very well. The one design change I could suggest is that the points (used to hold a board by mounting holes) could be offset to one side of the post. This would allow it to hold very small boards by mounting holes. But they are still very usable. I expect that I will use it for many things beyond assembling electronics. I can also imagine people finding it useful for things like jewelry making and other small crafts.

> 3 dayNot a bad product if you have good lighting but this thing isn’t bright at all.

> 3 dayI waited way to long to buy some helping hands. These have been awesome. Definitely worth the buy. The plate is nice and isnt some obnoxious color like most the other brands. It looks nice in my work room/ office. The light is nice and can be set to a warm hue or a bright white. Nice touch honestly. I use it as a desk light when Im not soldering.

> 3 dayThe base is surprisingly stable. The magnetic bases of the arms and the light are very strong! The finish of the base is great. The 4 little magnetic stands - don’t know what they are called - are very handy to place and support a PCB at its mounting holes Cons are that the light on the magnifier isn’t bright enough for me and it gets hot. The crocodile clips are average but get the job done It’s a bit pricey but saves a lot of time and trouble with cheap alternatives
