This will work wonders as my soldering station, may even use it for some model building. Light is nice and bright, magnets are strong and the flexible arms are firm and steady. Highly recommend.

I got this for my 13y/o son for use with his Arduino and soldering unit, and he loves it!! He actually soldered his first microchip successfully, and theres no way it would have happened without these clamps, magnifying glass and light. Very happy! The only issue was that the box was a little damaged during shipping, and one of 4 rubber footings was lost. So I checked with the company and they took care of it quickly! Awesome customer service!!

I feel like the metal plates a little small but no real complaints. pretty flexible, the different size arms help. the magnets pretty nice to adjust where needed as well as the magnifying glass with LED if I need to see something a little bit more smaller.

My only wish was to have a second, higher magnification spyglass, but at this price its great.

I am so thrilled with this purchase. First, the quality of this item is fantastic. The base is a legit solid piece of metal, so it is fantastic to keep everything VERY sturdy. I think if I had only one word to describe this device, it would be sturdy. Next, each articulating arm is excellent build quality and moves perfectly well. Each of the magnets is quite powerful such that there is no accidental dislodgment of any arms. They take just the right amount of force to remove if that makes sense. The light is great though I wish the switch were a little closer to the light itself as opposed to several inches down the power chord. This just means that I either have to have a little extra cable looped up onto my desk so that I can get to the switch, or I have to dangle it behind my desk and pull it up when needed. No big deal, though. Each of the alligator clips is of nice quality and, so far, holds my circuit boards firmly. Magnification is also excellent. It is actually better than I expected. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for such a device.

This is a great setup for any soldering work station. Magnifier/lamp works great with various settings for less eye strain.
