The speed vs my old Hard drive. Loved it so much, I replaced my lap top with another 500GB Samsun and now my wife wants me to upgrade her laptop with another Samsung 500 GB SSD - I will, very soon.

Technically this drive (MZ-75E500B/EU) is identical to the USA version but Samsung USA will not honor the warranty as another reviewer pointed out. Therefore for those of you in the USA, Id buy the North American model which is available here

One of the best investments you can make if you want to update an old computer, I tested it on my Dell XPS 15Z and it worked like a charm. It used to take almost 5 to 7 minutes to load Windows, now its around 30 seconds and all my heavy programs work way more faster. On the few things you can upgrade in an old laptop this is a must. Easy install. Computer now boots in several seconds. I put the operating system and all programs on the SSD and kept my hard drive for all personal files.

Its kinda hard to judge a harddrive non technically. It meet the technical specs, and the non-standard drivers (if any) where auto loaded by Windows. So super easy, just plug in --> install windows --> done.
