not reliable. iT FAILED UPON ARRIVAL

Didn’t work at first, although it showed up under Device manager Via USB. Had to format it using a third party app ( I used a program called Rufus). Now when I plug it in it shows up under My Computer drop down list. Showing 1.81TB available space. There’s more info if you google this issue.

I purchased these for a media server I built and they work great (RAID 5).

so installation was not Easy. Replaced a 1Tb HD with a 4Tb SSD, how do you think it worked? Ill answer that, it is fabulous, like having a new improved machine, faster than it ever was. Works great for gaming or whatever you use a SSD for.

This is a really nice, though a bit spendy, addition to my home lab shared storage (from NAS). While you can use the magic of thin provisioning and over-provisioning to squeeze more virtual machines and content into your storage, eventually you will fill the storage and you dont want to be taken by surprise when that happens.

It was on sale for a brand name product. Other 1tb SSDs cost less. It works fine and was easy to setup. Speeds were good enough for my approval. I posted this review only 2 days after installation. If anything changes I’ll be sure to post.
