Replaced 2 230GB SSDs that were running out of space. Cloned C (23GB) to the new 1TB SSDs and all went well, no issues.

I’m using this as an external hard drive, and it is always warm to the touch - even when the computer is asleep. It constantly draws power which is not normal for any of my other drives. Lately, my files are getting corrupted somehow. Unfortunately missed the return window. This drive is useless to me now.

This drive worked so good for me the first time I returned to get another. Im a music producer and I need data on demand and fast. I cant wait for my drive to spin up so I can get my instruments or samples to load. Saving up to get the 8tb drive then Im done.

Easy to install and dramatically increased the speed of my PC

I use Hard Disk Sentinel to keep tabs on the performance of my disks, HD or SSD. After one year of use (6.77 tB lifetime writes) my Samsung 870 QVO 1tB is down to less than half the speed advertised when new. A clone to this disk takes 3 times as long as it does to a new SSD. The loss of speed is uniform across the disk, not limited to only certain areas. This slowdown would not be something most users would notice as they would a failure, but since speed is a major factor in a SSD, serious loss of speed over time is something to consider.

I never had/used a solid state drive before but my iMacs hard drive crashed and I needed a replacement. Thank God I had time machine and could restore my mac. In any case, I am pleased with the performance so far and it should last longer and function better/faster than my old drive. Cost was good for the amount of storage. Im satisfied.

Easy to install, upgraded the harddrives in my kids laptops and purchased an extra one for my desktop as well. So far so good though I dont usually have a good time with Samsung products, hopefully these harddrives will hold together.

Love this SSD! Great value between price and speed. As a “gamer” this checks all the boxes for me. It has awesome load times in games, Windows is loaded up within about 10 seconds, and it’s all for a reasonable price. I’m usually weary of cheaper unheard of brand name SSD’s after purchasing a Kingston that failed on me after about 6 months. Since then I’ve purchased 3 of these without failure over the past 2 years. There are plenty of other SSD’s with more features or faster transfer speeds but for me they aren’t worth the price increase since I don’t utilize those features. My recent purchase of one didn’t arrive which is why I only gave 4 stars.
