For some reason I can use it for gaming just fine but as for using Chrome it seems to hit 100% use. Dunno why....

No reason to buy a faster ssd (you wont notice a difference)

I have ordered three of these in the last couple of months to upgrade pcs to SSD. The Samsung migration software is really great to clone an internal hard drive to an SSD through the usb port.

This is the only way to go. SSD is fast and great for any use. Gaming, music, video, it does it all. I use this for backing up data. I purchased an enclosure and use this now as an external. Goes with me everywhere I go.
