Performs insanely quick on nearly everything I throw at it. Easy to install, no special drivers are required, however, MAKE SURE you install Samsung Magician after you get the drive provisioned in Windows. Samsung Magician will update the drive firmware, analyze the performance, but best of all, it will enable high performance mode and optimize it for the fastest speed possible. It uses some of the storage as DRAM cache so it makes it really quick!

I think the majority of users will not even notice, but these things are SLOW when performing large file transfers. Were talking HDD level of performance for concurrent writes once you fill the SLC cache. The SLC cache is something like < 80GB, after that you get about 160MBps writes.

É um bom SSD, mas não sabia da diferença das células QLC pras outras, esse tem uma escrita extremamente lenta para arquivos grandes, mais lento mesmo que um HD comum. Precisei transferir mais de 30 GB de arquivos para ele e nos primeiros segundos estava tudo ok, porém 10 ou 20 segundos depois a velocidade caiu para 80 MB/s, enquanto um HD comum geralmente escreve a 150~200 MB/s.

I tested a lot, the issue wasnt the SATA cable or the SATA port. The drive just randomly disconnects

Use product before, never any problems. Have on PC, and 2 laptops. Great product. Must follow installation instruction.

Very good and reliable

So I actually returned the product but changing review from one star to five on benefit of the doubt. Basically after return I bought another drive off the shelf at the store only to have the same problem. After looking at the problem more in depth I realized the error was on my part. Most drives you can just plug in and it works but this one didn’t even show up. Turns out I had to go to the disk manager to see the thing. From there I could initialize the drive and assign a drive letter BEFORE it would let me format the drive and use it.
