06-04-2025I put the the Samsung 980 PRO in a Acasis Enclosure. Easy to put together and has great speeds with my Mac mini M2 16GB/512GB. Tests in Blackmagic: steady at W:2800+ MB/s, R:2700+/- MB/s.

> 3 dayDid a bit of research on which SSD was a good fit for me in order to upgrade the memory in my PS5. This met all the needs was super easy to install and transfers info back and forth with the systems memory very quickly.

Greater than one weekQuick warning, you may need to buy M.2 SSD screws if you plan to put it in your PC. At least I needed it in my B550. Also, you should download Samsung Magician. If you dont update the firmware for your SSD, the lifespan could be cut in half.

Greater than one weekThe SSD was delivered with a well-fitted heatsink that made installation remarkably simple and hassle-free. Its size was perfectly tailored for placement directly beneath my GPU, allowing for optimal use of space within my system. Overall, I found this product to be highly convenient and user-friendly.

> 3 dayFor DL data sets. MSI Z690-P board came with standoffs and screws for M.2 sockets, the 980 had none, just the SSD with heatsink. I plugged it in, secured it with the screw, booted the system (Win 11), initialized the SSD, added a volume, and was done. Winsat showed 3716 MB/s random read, 7143 MB/s sequential read, 2306 MB/s sequential write, about 10 times faster than my older Crucial SATA SSD. Im very satisfied. Heatsink made sense, based on previous experience with a Mac SSD; there are inexpensive 3rd party heat sinks, but I opted for the Samsung built-in one.

> 3 dayI had originally gone with a WD Black 850X for my PS5 since it has such great reviews. Unfortunately, I either got a dud or my PS5 just wasnt compatible with it. I had tried everything suggested in threads as well to make it work, to no avail. Then, I got this lil diddy and boy oh boy, it makes the world of difference with no more headaches or unexpected shut offs! Im able to transfer and download any and all games I choose right to this SSD. Plus, once formatted from the start, it shows to have the whole 2tb of data available. This one worked wonders for me and Im glad the reviews were correct about the performance of the Samsung 980 Pro. Others may have similar problems depending on the company the SSD is from, but this one worked just right for me.
