it’s one of the best gen 3 SSD’s out there! My new laptop came with a 256gb m.2 nvme and with little storage available I needed more room. The boxing feels great and how easy it is to install. Speeds are as expected which is definitely what I need, startups are much quicker especially with the software where you can check the health of the system with updates and boost performance. Definitely worth purchasing this for storage, gaming, etc.

I have this as the boot drive on my Linux workstation (ThinkStation P900). It works great. I have not tried to do any speed test so I cannot comment on that, but my system seems very responsive.

Lightning cant keep up with this. I bought it for a gaming rig and it runs a little over 3k on the speeds. Nice for gaming with plenty of storage. I do recommend.

It runs hot in Asus vivo mini. I was not able to provide proper cooling, so I replaced with 870 EVO SATA 2.5 and with help of Samsung Magician better performance then 980 and it rans cooler. Benchmark for SSD 980 MVMe M.2 taken with open window at -15C outside. Benchmark for SSD 870SATA 2.5 taken in room temperature.

Took 2 weeks to finally ship, and what I received was a fake device.
