I used this to replace the OEM Sky Hynix 250GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD in an HP Pavilion X360 14-cd1055cl. This Samsung 980 500GB M.2 NVMe doubled the storage and increased the overall system speed (boot, read, write) a lot! These might be a few bucks more than their competitors, but I think they are worth it considering the performance, quality, & durability!

My computer already had a small Intel Rapid Storage Tech board in it so Windows boot up speed did not change but I had larger softwares that I wanted to load faster. Using this as the boot drive and original HD as storage drive so worked out well.

Hard to install and did not function

I have purchased many, many samsung NVME drives. I have never had a early drive failure. The drives are very fast and have excellent warranty if you are unlucky and get a bad drive.

Just look at all the other reviews on this. Literally no one is unhappy. Samsung did a perfect job with everything about this M.2 SSD. Top quality for a low price and a sleek design. What more could you ask for?

Funciona bien

This is about the 6th Samsung SSD Ive put into a computer. I have as of yet to have one fail to work or quit working after installation. The speed is outstanding.

Good storage and working as expected

Had a bad 1Tb HDD disk on Dell Inspiron 5570. Put in the new Samsung 870 SSD and used the free Samsung data mover software to clone the HDD to the SSD, removed the old drive, and restarted. It now boots in 30 seconds rather than 4.5 minutes, and is like a brand new computer.
