I tried using this with my Steam Deck for extra storage space for my games and whatever else I needed it for. Sadly it never formatted correctly. It just stops formatting midway through. I tried a few options, even in desktop mode (which to be fair im not super familiar with Linux at all) and it didnt work either. Everytime I formatted it, itd give me an error when it loaded the card in the KSE software (or whatever its called KDS? Idk). This led me to believe maybe I got a fake card but Amazon reassured me after the fact that they have a direct partnership with Samsung and it was a legit product. Either way I opted to return this and found another samsung Evo card off bestbuy along with a usb SD reader that worked like a charm when I formatted it on my windows computer. I recommend if you are planning to buy this for your steam deck, only format it yourself on your computer and not through steam deck or its desktop mode. Just better to be safe than sorry. Ive read many many posts about steam deck just not working with some cards, from them being fake ones or from people reformatting them incorrectly (reformatting it twice in steam deck will ruin the card).

At last. A microSD card with read/write speeds comparable to a good hard drive at a fraction of the cost. The included USB3 reader is truly capable of pushing the card to its limits. Popped it in a USB3 port in my desktop and these are the speeds I got w/ no fuss or format. I have many years experience w/ Samsung SSDs, with zero failures. Unlike a few other brands. Dont hesitate on this one.

Does exactly what youd think it should do. Speedy card transfers and perfectly compatible.
