You need online cable software upgrades for this device. Once you correctly format files for both Mac and Win you still can’t access your files. I wasted my money on this. Should have just bought a thumb drive.

Storage capacity is top notch! Its lightweight storage that I stuck on to my laptop lid with nano tape. I use it for gaming files and its fast enough to run without any lag!

This is a very nice quality item. used with Macbook Pro laptop, and works fine. no temperature problem at all as far as I have seen.

I used to share by their SSD. This was one slow, said it was full after 50MB was transferred and got hot. Sending it back.

I was running out of storage on my laptop, especially since I moved everything from my micro SD cards in my cameras etc to the laptop. I only just learned about SSDs and started doing research on it. I liked what I saw and decided against the external hard drive. My goodness was that ever the right choice. I could hardly be more satisfied with the speed of this device. The first night I used it, I moved about 40- something gigs in about 6 minutes. Trust me when I say theres no going back to hard drives after you experience this thing. If theres one glaring negative from my experience, its that the Samsung app is shit and there doesnt seem to be and fix in sight so I wasnt able to move straight from phone to ssd but its a minor gripe compared to the benefits of the device. A lil expensive too, but small, fast, durable and reliable. Great purchase

Plugged it into my laptop and total capacity shown was 31.9GBs not 2TB. Amazon customer service referred me to a 3rd-party YouTube video then eventually Samsung customer service. Samsung bots referred me to Samsung Magician. I’m not installing any of that stuff. After searching the internet, I ran diskpart.exe which “did something”. Now the 2TB SSD shows 1.81TB as available. Unsure what is going on with the other 179MB but at this point I’m too tired and upset to deal with more bots and CSRs. Would not buy again.

Does what its supposed to. Extremely easy to transfer files.
