> 24 hourSo I use a 2012 era MacBook Pro updated with SSD / 16 gig RAM and have it pretty loaded. While it does not have a USB-C connector in these older Macs, I put the USB 3 adaptor on it, ran Carbon Copy Cloner and copied the ENTIRE hard drive in short order (sorry I didnt notate the time, my impression is longer than a cup of coffee, but shorter than sit-down lunch with friends).

> 24 hourThis ssd is awesome. I have the 2TB version and use it for video and photo editing. The only thing that was bad was the crummy short cable provided. It simply did not work. iMac or iPad Pro would not recognize it. I switched cable it would mount. I bought another longer USB C cable and problem solved.
