SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable External SSD - Up to 550MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.1 - SDSSDE60-2T00-G25

I installed this for a client. This was to be his external backup. Everything went well and faster than I would have thought. Through the USB connection, 80 GB backed up in under four minutes.

Perfetto e piccolissimo, non mi aspettavo una dimensione cosi piccola.

The first thing you notice is this drive is very small and lightweight. In the picture thats an iPhone XS Max for scale. An old school external HDD is easily double the size, triple the weight, a quarter of the speed at best and much less reliable. And the price is excellent: at the time of writing I paid £79 for the 500GB model with 550MB/s speed.

Ich hatte die SSD für unsere Datensicherung im Geschäft gedacht. Leider ist SSD nach 6 Monaten schon defekt und ein Teil der Daten nicht wieder herstellbar.

I’m a huge SanDisk loyalist. I use their products professionally in my commercial photo studio. Take care of them and they will take care of you.

It works as promised, the connection cable is very clever (it fits both USB-C and USB-A plugs).

My only complaint about this particular unit by SanDisk is the fact that you have to use an adaptor (not a direct lint) to plug it into the USB 2 input of a computer. Previous units did not need an adaptor (supplied by SanDisk). Its always been my contention than any extra connections are capable of introducing digital errors - a no no, particularly for high sample rate audio.
