> 3 dayI learned the hard way that most thumb drives, regardless of capacity, are formatted in a way that does not allow any single file over 4gb to be loaded. This is a problem for consumers. At the very least, manufacturers should be upfront about this so non-tech-savvy consumers (like me) dont return thumb drives as faulty (as I did) when they just need to be reformatted.

> 3 dayThese aren’t super fast and they weren’t the cheapest cost wise but, they did come when they said they would be delivered and they were the size I needed. Not a bad alternative and good for the kids to use for school work.

> 3 dayI am having bad luck with this set of Flash drives. I purchased a set of 5 SanDisk 16GB Ultra USB 3.0 flash drives and so far 2 have failed me. I have a 2010 Macbook Pro (USB 2.0) that I connected the drives and copied files to. On 2 separate occasions I copied files to these drives and then ejected them. When I tried to connect them back to my laptop to verify the files, they failed to mount to my computer. I now have 2 pieces that will not mount to my macbook pro or my iMac. I havent tried them on any other computers. 2 out of 5 drives from this set have failed, 2 I gave to clients with recorded audio files (they worked when I handed them over to client) and the last one I still have and it is currently working. Its a mystery so I will avoid these next time.

> 3 dayIve used all sorts of USBs and some were more compliant than others. If all you are going to do is transfer files then any old key will pretty well do. I, however, need a key that I can install on operating system on and this one fits the bill. Ive put bootable versions of Centos, Ubuntu and FreeDOS on these keys and they just keep chugging along. I used the installs to perform maintenance on servers and there is plenty of room on the key for the OS and the updates and firmwares needed to get my machines complaint. I highly recommend these keys.

> 3 dayI love these thumb drives, because 16 GB is about right for 3 to 4 (14days each) trips per year. I transfer my photos onto the drive each day via a lightweight Surface Pro PC so as not to take up space on the PC. I wish each thumb drive would have a different colored lanyard. I have found San Disk thumb-drives very reliable.
