Greater than one weekI mostly use flash drives to move files when one computer or instrument is not connected to the internet or when I want to boot up a computer from a flash drive. These 16GB drives are more than large enough for those tasks. I have previously used some of the all plastic SanDisk drives and they are less robust. I also used the Cruzer Fit drives and their small size is great but they are so small they are hard to grab on to for removal. I only just received these cruiser ultra drives but I like the size and feel. The USB 3 didnt increase the price much and it should save time for reading and writing large files.

> 3 dayNice middle grade drives. Check the specs to make sure the speed is OK for you. Not sure what Thickness and Warmth is for a USB drive, Amazon, but 5 stars all around!!

> 3 dayI bought these to have a set of administrator images for various software packages that I manage for my company. For that purpose they work fine, read speeds seem to be good and the lanyard loop lets me keep all my drives together so I can find the one I need easily. The problem, as others have stated, is the write speed. At an average of 9-10MB/s it is painfully slow for a USB 3.0 device. Its not a deal killer for me since I am writing once and reading many times rather than constantly changing the files on the drives but for anyone using them for actual data transfer, look elsewhere for something that at least approaches the claimed speeds. Up to 100MB/s is seriously misleading when I have never seen one of these drives achieve anything better than 12MB/s for any length of time. And for those who may try to discredit my comments, the speeds Im seeing are consistent across over a dozen PCs of varying ages and specifications as well as transfers of many small files or a single large file. If i was using these for anything other than static storage I would have returned them immediately.

> 3 dayIm a professional photographer and much of my work is delivered via USB-3 Thumb Drives. SanDisk is the most trusted brand in solid-state media and my go-to brand for USB drives. I have been using SanDisk Cruzer Ultra drives in 16, 32, and 64 gb sizes without a single failure for many years. You should know that a 16 GB Thumb drive does NOT provide 16 GB of data storage, I will never understand that is, but you are limited. Each drive has to reserve space for firmware and that drops your drive capacity, so purchase a drive that has a capacity far above what you actually need. Limited file size has nothing to do with the USB rated size, but is due to the formatting These Drives come Formatted to FAT32 that means a single file cannot be larger than 4GB as formatted. BUT YOU can re-format the drive with Windows. When you place the thumb drive in your usb-3 port on your computer, you can right-click the drive and select FORMAT, then instead of FAT32, Choose NTFS and you can then add large files to the drive. I do a lot of cinematic/video presentations and have had to re-format the drives for those larger movie files. I like these drives and the USB connection is retractable, BUT, it is still exposed to dust and debris that may be in your pocket, I highly recommend that you also purchase some sort of case to put your drive in when its not in use. I personally use the CaseLogic zippered cases for storage, mailing and transporting my valuable data-loaded SanDisk Flash Drives. I would definitely recommend them! They are the best combination of price, quality, and performance.

> 3 dayI love that these have an easy way to add a keyring to each one. They have enough room to create a label on each USB. These are great for college - I am studying I.T. so these really helped to keep my programs and studies organized.
