Greater than one weekThis is my first SSD. It was recommended by Toms Hardware. The price is still painful for such a small drive, but I really wanted to experience the speed boost Ive heard these drives give you, and boy was I not disappointed. I did a fresh Windows install, just to start from scratch, and I was amazed on how quickly the installation took. Whenever I had to reboot on my old HDD, it would take an agonizingly long time to load up all of my start-up programs, but now its just a matter of seconds. Games all load fairly quick, but not as fast as I was hoping it would, but that could just be high expectations on my part. I never want to go back to HDD. My only real gripe is the price, as I think Ill fill this drive up fairly quick with all the games Ill install. My hope is, in a few years these will drastically drop in price so I can afford a larger drive.

03-04-2025I have an old 3rd gen Intel system that I wanted to use for Windows 10. Someone had given this old system to me and I needed a windows 10 setup. After installing windows 10 on an older mechanical Hard Drive and system with 8Gigs of memory, I determined this computer too slow to use. So I ordered this hard drive and 4 more Gigs of UDIMMS, and it has really brought this old slow computer back to life. Seriously, this is working out as a really nice system for me now. This fast SanDisk Hard drive along with 16 Gigs of Ram, this operates great for my purposes. Now this is not a gaming system, but this Drive would probably be great for gaming. Very fast.
