if you are putting this into a desktop make sure to set the BIOS so that it starts your operating system first, I didnt realise Id have to do this so I spent about an hour downloading windows onto a USB to find that it wouldnt allow me to put windows on, then I figured out I should probably check the BIOS to make sure that the PC could detect both hard drives (I plugged the Sandisk in as my primary and wired up my other for extra storage) and thats when I realised that the operating system needed to be set to the first boot option

本製品の中身はWD Blue 3D SSDと同じとのこと。SanDiskやWDのブランド名で世界中で売られているフラッシュメモリー製品は、全て東芝(現 キオクシア）の四日市工場で生産されてるそうです。東芝の技術に敬意を表して、今回、Lenovo E440のHDD換装に本製品を使いました。ずいぶんと古くなって捨てたくなるほど遅かったPCですが、おかげさまで普通に使えるようになりました。

HDDからSSDに移行しました。

When I installed it inside my PC (which has Windows 8.1 OS and another SSD already installed 3-4 years ago that has the OS), the new SanDisk SSD wasnt recognized by Windows. It wasnt appearing in Windows Explorer. However, when I went into Windows Disk Manager (via Windows key + X -> Device Manager) -> Disk Drives, it appeared there yet was reported with status of empty (or some status like that). The solution was to initialize the SSD drive and assign it a drive letter. Among about 8 SSDs that Ive installed in the past 4 years in multiple PC builds, this situation happened once before, and I suspect the root cause was with the Windows OS, not with the SSD, whereby Windows had in its memory a previous (older) set of connections to SSDs, so the Windows OS got confused and required manual intervention. My 2nd recently purchased (from Amazon, same seller) SanDisk didnt have this issue.

Ottimo prodotto leggero e facile da installare (iMac 2009). Effettivamente come letto in altre recensioni il Mac è tornato a viaggiare a velocità inaspettate. Io uso il mio iMac come server home e devo dire che è stata una buona mossa! (é stato montato al posto del disco principale). Devo provare ad installarlo al posto del super drive...
