> 3 dayFor $139 and 27 inch its a great monitor but as you see in the picture on the left is the sceptre on the right an old V7 the white color is off seems dim no matter how I adjust the settings this was as close as I could get it to match the V7 but its still an off white and not as bright as the V7 but not a deal breaker for me as its just for the home office

11-06-2025Great value. I bought this to use for Xbox One and PS4 online gaming (most people know now that the higher frame rates on monitors give you a significant advantage) and have to say it does this perfectly. No issues out of the box and very easy to set up. As other reviews state the speakers on the monitor are absolutely terrible, but given what I bought this item for that is irrelevant as I will be using headphones anyway. Will see how it holds up the next few months, but starting off this was exactly want I was looking for and I couldnt be happier. Highly recommend this monitor for any consol gamers out there looking for a way to stop getting shot around corners or dying from lag. Picture quality - 5/5, I notice so much more in games now compared to TVs it is so clear Sound - 1/5, do not buy this if sound quality is a factor the speakers are useless Frame rate - 5/5, as advertised has very high frame rate Construction quality - 4/5, the stand feels sturdy but is all plastic so if you arent careful I could see it breaking Again, exactly what I was looking for and so far very happy with my investment!

> 3 dayI bought this to use as an external monitor for my MacBook Pro and am disappointed. I wasnt expecting the resolution of an apple studio display, but the display quality on this Sceptre monitor is really poor. Text appears grainy and difficult to read and the ghosting even with the anti ghosting / gaming features turned on is awful. I bought this because I dont really do any gaming and just needed a larger display to setup on my desk to use my slicing softwares for 3d printing. Im using Lychee to place supports on models and the graininess of this makes it kind of painful on your eyes to place supports with precision unless you zoom WAY in. The brightness is fine and is comfortable to look at. It has a night shift type of feature built in, but you have to change this manually and it wont automatically switch when your computer switches and there is no ambient light detection to help it either. The speakers built into this monitor are exactly what you would expect for speakers built into a 100 dollar monitor. Theyll work in a pinch but this is not something you want to expose your ears to for a long period of time, unless youre okay with a low volume tinny output. The ports available to use on this monitor are great as well, but not of enough of a plus to outweigh the cons of its primary function as a display. Lastly, the stand included with the monitor is flimsy and on a super sturdy table top that doesnt have any give or movement, the stand on this monitor still wobbles at the slightest vibration. Reminds me of a jello mold the entire time Im using it. Overall, super disappointed with this display and I may repurpose it for use in my garage to play some workout videos off of a Roku or an Apple TV.

Greater than one weekWhen this monitor goes to sleep with the computer, their is a light that says on all night long. So I always have to shut down the computer at night so the monitor doesnt annoy me. Also, I was disappointed that it doesnt come with any type of connection cable or hardware other than the HDMI cable. So I had to get an adapter to be able to plug it into my USB port. Of course, this was probably specified in the purchase description, so it is not fair for me to call it out. But I would expect it to be able to connect to a normal computer right out of the box. However, the picture is good and the monitor has a good design.

> 3 dayoverall not bad value for the money, but now I do need to buy speakers - the sound quality is awful (I try to appreciate the nostalgic resemblance of 90s PCs, but...).

> 3 dayI ordered the monitor and even got a replacement monitor but both of them had pixel problems. The first had 2 pixels that wouldnt show green while the 2nd replacement had a singular fully dead pixel. While gaming I dont notice the pixels, but watching videos or browsing the web it becomes painfully obvious due to the fact that when the screen goes white these things really pop out as purple or black dots on screen. The pixels aside its a solid monitor with great response time and image quality, I cant fully recommend this monitor due to having gotten 2 different screens that have noticeable dead or defective pixels.
