> 3 dayNow our guests can have some privacy! It took me awhile to notice that my condos builders had failed to install a door handle with a lock on our half bath. Who wants a bathroom door without a lock?! I was worried that Id have a hard time matching a replacement to the other levers in the same hall. Luckily, they were all Schlage, and I found the same design in the satin chrome finish. The product that arrived appears to be genuine Schlage. My boyfriend was able to replace the original handle without much trouble, and all the existing holes lined up just fine.

> 3 dayI installed the exact model throughout my home some 12 years ago and they work and look great. I had a room remodel and was very happy to find the exact model and color still available. Works great!

> 3 dayI was really happy when I first bought this lock. My room had a lever but didnt have a lock so I decided to purchase this. My door started to open when locked back in October after I had purchased it in August. When I lock it from the inside, if you hold down on the lever on the outside for a minute, the door unlocks. If you wiggle the lever a few times, it also unlocks. Theres no point of the pinhole key anymore because now you dont even need it to let yourself in. I am so disappointed because I cant return it and now have to go buy a new lock for my door.

Greater than one weekIve broken two of these (only had 2) with ease by applying firm pressure. This is a weak lock.

Greater than one weekI was thrilled to get this dummy lever for my foyer closet. I bought the matching right hand one as well. The finish is a gorgeous matte edged with copper. However, the shallow screw provided is not sufficient unless you have a solid core wood door. It is not long enough to grab the wood and the weight of these pulls (they are a substantial and weighty) will make the situation worse. If you have hollow core bi-folds (standard builder stock), the handle over time will loosen and fall off the door. My husband has fixed all our current polished brass handles by buying longer screws and using a washer on the back of the door. They hold great now. I called Schlage and they have no longer screws to use with these levers. So now we will have to buy standard screws and touch up the heads with matte black paint. What a hassle. I took off 2 stars for this problem since the screws are woefully inadequate.

> 3 dayPerfect replacement for a broken Schalge privacy lever (bathroom door) that was installed when my home was built 21 years ago. The old lever couldnt stay locked when I pressed the button. Im glad that Schalge kept the design after two decades; otherwise, I would have had to replace door levers throughout my home to keep with consistency. Im also glad they made the levers reversible (left hand pull or right hand pull). It doesnt appear the old lever had the versatility so Schalge was smart to make this change sometime over the last two decades.
