Schluter Kerdi Board 12x20 Shower Niche (1)

I think these have become too expensive for what they are but Im already committed with my present project. I will search alternatives, or probably construct one out of kerdi board next time Im involved in a bath remodel.

The product came in good condition- no dents or disfiguration. I was surprised at how light this is, it feels like it weighs ounces. The middle part is moveable, which is great because the shampoo and conditioner bottles we usually purchase are 12 tall, so Im glad that we are able to accommodate that. We recently did a shower remodel and our contractor is glad that we purchased this because even though he said its not necessary, it does make the job easier and faster. He also mentioned that this is a good brand. This is obvious, but one thing to note is that it gets smaller once you lay tile on it. Overall, we are so pleased with the results, definitely recommend!

Integrates very well with the kerdi membrane. Just make sure to slope your bottom tiles into the shower

Pretty spendy, but REALLY easy to install and tile over. Highly recommend.

Great niche

Great niche, but like many other reviews said, don’t use the included shelf. It’s just way too thick and ends up looking bulky after tiling. I wish I would have left it off and just added a glass shelf after tiling. It would have looked way better, and would have been much easier to tile.
