this thing remove mill scale like a eraser ! and does not clog up / pile up the scale to the disk like the flap wheels does. it remove the scale and gives a well polished shine to the surface. Must have in the shop if you are doing metal work.. it is little pricy though.

It works wonderfully. However, the lifespan is incredibly short, especially for the cost. I would happily spend $3-4 on this product, again and again. It just doesnt last anywhere near long enough to justify the price tag of over $18.

Broke down didnt last but 5 min of use..

Needed to remove very thick mill scale from mild steel tubing. This product was by far the fastest option I could find, it worked great.

Had a project I was working on over a year. By the time I completed it there was some rust on my welds as well as the steel plate, with this I was able to quickly remove all rust and get it down to a level I could paint without leaving any deep scratch marks.

Crazy effective for removing mill scale. Concerned about longevity. We shall see.

I use a lot of hook/loop surface conditioning pads from the same manufacturer and bought these based on a YouTube comment about their performance/life. I am very impressed with this disc. It seems like it has lasted maybe 3X the conditioning discs I usually buy. Used on hot-rolled steel to remove remaining scale after vinegar pickling. Scale can be pretty tough to remove, but Im happy with this process as long as the parts fit in my bucket of vinegar :)

I purchased this to remove mill scale. It worked great for a while, removing mill scale from curved surfaces. When I then used it on a flat piece of metal, it was by that point clogged up with mill scale residue. The only solution for mill scale is to soak the metal in acid. Muriatic acid will remove it fast, in just a few minutes. White vinegar will work in 4 to 5 hours, or overnight. Don’t buy this pad for removing mill scale. You’ll be disappointed.

Works great and lasts longer
