> 24 hourMaybe it’s just me, but is this tape not as sticky as a few years ago? I find I have to push it into the cardboard boxes to make sure it adheres. I’m also adding more tape in other areas to compensate. If I knew of a better brand for shipping, I’d change. This is my best option at the moment.

> 24 hourThis tape, Scotch 3850, is the best tape on the market for any normal consumer applications. This is the top of the line for Scotch (aside from some heavy industrial tapes that you dont need and probably wont find on Amazon anyway.) We have been using this tape daily for years, on anything from small boxes (1 book size) to really big boxes (30 x 24 x 20) and this stuff works great regardless of the application. Yes, its more expensive, but it is by far worth the investment if you ship regularly, or even as a one time purchase if you are moving or something. It sticks well to any type of cardboard, plastic or poly bags, etc. Your cost can be mitigated a bit by watching for price fluctuations and buying more at once. For this listing, Scotch 3850-8, the price is usually quite reasonable, but can creep up sometimes to a level where its not worth it. Anyway, something to keep in mind if youre shopping around--the part number for this tape is 3850. The -8 at the end only means its an 8 pack. So, Scotch 3850-6 or 3850-3 are exactly the same tape, just a different quantity of rolls in the pack. I dont usually write reviews, but here is why Im writing this one... I feel the need to respond to the reviews that say this tape does not stick well. It does. UNLESS it is OLD. So-- if you order this tape in any quantity and it doesnt stick well, it is past its shelf life and should be returned to the seller. You can usually tell if its too old just by looking at a roll from the side. If it has a tan/ brownish look to it AT ALL the tape is old. Also, when looking through a roll from the outside, this tape should be completely (almost freakishly) crystal clear all the way through the roll to the cardboard at the center. Bottom line: If this tape is still within a decent shelf life, it cant be beat. Its well worth the money. If the tape is old, the glue has degraded and the entire order should be returned. (And whoever sold it to you in the first place should have known better.) If you receive the tape in good condition, but it is then subjected to fluctuating heat/cold/humidity, etc. the shelf life will drop considerably, so dont throw your extra rolls up in the attic. :) Though Im not certain, the shelf life for this tape in its best condition seems to be somewhere between 1 and 2 years, probably closer to a year.

> 24 hourIve been purchasing this SHIPPING tape for a number of years, and have always been very happy with it. Although it may be more expensive than other such tapes, its well worth the extra expense: Its easy to handle and adheres/ holds better than any other tape Ive ever tried. Anyone wanting to buy a tape that will hold, needs to look no further than this tape.

> 24 hourWe bought these tapes for shipping packages at our office and they really work well. They are strong and stick well to our cardboard packaging and have had no problem. They peel easily and work well with the dispenser we already have. These tapes are heavy duty and it is what we use most often in the shop. They work fine in all the small packaging that we mail. Will be buying them again for sure as needed.

> 24 hourLove this tape. I use it all the time for shipping. I put it on the closures before mailing. Sometimes the closures don’t stay closed. I know, I retired post office and always added tape when the customer came in because they put to much merchandise in their container and it would start popping open.

> 24 hourI tried some of the other types of Scotch packaging tapes when we were packing up for a move, but this has the best adhesion to boxes of any of them. It outperformed the tape that Scotch sells FOR moving, which lifted off the boxes about 15 min after you applied it.

> 24 hourVery durable, use to tape up boxes to ship all over the United States. No problems with tape coming loose. By durable I mean it doesnt tear, to open a box you need a sharp object or find a corner and peel it off. Will definitely purchase again! Great price and fast shipping!
