Seachem Matrix Carbon 500ml

This stuff works like a charm. I use with purigen and matrix

When I opened the box, I made sure everything I ordered was there. I made the mistake of not examining everything more closely. I just opened the bottle of Seachem Matrix Carbon 500ml. There was no seal on the bottle. When I examined the cap there was all carbon smudges on top of the cap. It looks like the bottle had been opened. Not happy at all.

The size of the carbon is perfect for my reusable filter cartridges. It doesnt slip out of the slots!

This is much cheaper than buying individual bags of charcoal. I bought the little bags here on Amazon and now all I have to do is fill them with carbon and replace the carbon monthly. This is so much more economical than buying pre-packaged carbon.

Although not the cheapest choice in active carbon i belive its by far the best choice and all i will use in my reef system, lowest phosphorus levels of any carbon , spearical shape allows for better flow as well as more surface area also due to spherical shape. Keeps my water spotless and safe for critters, i like to change every 2 weeks as i feel as it still may be working in my 100 gallon its mostly exhausted .

Best carbon I have used but its finer grain size makes using it in a flow through media necessary. I put a about 4 ounces in a 180 micron mesh bag and place it in each cannister filter. I change it every 3 weeks and it does fantastic.

Everyone says this is the best carbon....and they are right!

keeps my reef tank crystal clear.

do know if it is working any better than any other biological media but I would buy the pond matrix because it had alot of small pebbles in it

. . . . even tho this is the first time I used this product. The water tests perfect each time. Very Happy as well as my fish are.
