It was a great storage and everything was smooth. For a year. My friend bought this one as a gift for me in April 2018. Early in May 2019 it stopped working abruptly - no power surges, no falls, nothing. It just emits beeping noise.

This Seagate 2TB external hard drive is marketed as an accessory to the PlayStation gaming console for storage of games designed for that system. And so it is. Its also a external hard drive that functions like any other external hard drive on which you can also store any other data compatible with this type of device. Its a NTFS device compatible with 3.0 USB ports making it quite fast and responsive. Its also a very sleek, compact device, thin and easy to store away or carry about. This, however, does gives me pause; experience has taught me that externals of such slim and elegant design are attractive but can be fragile. I certainly cant say that fragility is a feature of this Seagate but I dont want to find out the hard way that it is; I will have to be very careful with it and probably wont carry it around with me much as I would mass storage devices that are specifically designed to take a certain amount of rough handling. In all this is a good choice for storage at a competitive price, looks good and is more versatile than I expected.

With a lot of games out there being digital downloads our PS4 was full, not anymore! This was super easy to install and now have tons of available storage. Highly recommended! May work with other storage devices as well but we used it for our PS4.

I love this thing never had to delete a game since i got it

My ps4 is now faster. I guess having most of the storage occupied, slows it down. Now I have installed all of my games in this hdd, and since UI feels smoother

I was looking for a ps5 external storage and this one popped up. Doesn’t work for any ps5 games. You can only save ps4 games. For the price it’s a good deal if you have a lot of ps4 games.

A month in and it decides that I cant play any of my games. It installed a brand new game on it. I didnt even give it permission to do that. It just did it anyways. Locked me out of the game. Told me to delete it and try again. Then I still couldnt play it. Reinstalled it 4 times. Nope nope nope nope. So solution? Sledgehammer it to death.. Worthless
