> 3 dayI purchased the Avolusion 2 tb hard drive before this (which was only a few dollars cheaper) and it was nothing but problems from the start. Every time I’d play games (especially online) it would inevitably lock my PS4. It got so bad that I was having to unplug the storage device multiple times during a session and restart my ps4. I finally bit the bullet and bought this one, which has worked like a charm. Absolutely zero problems, and all my existing issues went away. Just buy the product that’s designed for your machine and stay away from the universal garbage. Definitely recommended.

> 3 dayThe Seagate 8tb RGB gaming hub is an odd product. Its a fairly easy to look at device that you can slap on your desk and connect to your pc to have an extra 8tb of storage. It houses a slightly modified version of one of their cheaper 8tb barracuda compute drives with a slight boost in rpm, but that was as much as I could discern from hwinfo. The performance is pretty lackluster, and also it limits itself to 3gb/s instead of the normal sata 6gb/s connection (drive states it supports the latter but the enclosure does not). It has a type C port on the front but uses the faster bandwidth micro B connector on the back to connect the device which feels odd to me. The power connector is bulky, and comes with every type of regional connector (plastic clips allow you yo swap it) for better or worse. I would not reccomend travelling often with it, and grab a 2.5 inch drive like a WD p10 if that is your goal. The raw read and write speed of this drive isnt bad, but random writes are dreadfully slow. It takes forever for steam to allocate space on this drive for larger games and the speed once it starts downloading is also fairly slow. I may update with examples from crystal disk once im back near the drive. It also sometimes stays powered on after pc turn off and sounds/feels like its still spinning. That actively spooked me and I unplug it now after shut down now. Overall very mediocre but the price was fairly alright. Depending where you buy it you get 1-3 years of drive recovery, if you get 3 its fairly worth it as i bet the value would be good even with the extra effort of sending it in. Lastly the RGB is not seemless with Razer Chroma like advertised. It is not automatically detected even with the extra add ons. I believe their is an external software also available with it that allows it to change but honestly that was fairly dissapointing as I hoped to just combo it with my mouse/keyboard. TL;DR = One of the more dissapointing buys in my end. On a 40% discount its kind of worth it but otherwise hard pass. Cheap drive in a cheap enclosure marketed to gamers. Not a big fan of Seagates cheaper solutions, steer clear if you want reliability / performance.

> 3 dayI’m using this HD on my PS4Pro, it works great. At the moment it has 1 1/4 gig used with different games and had no problems. Is easy to use and set up, highly recommended for PS4 owners.

> 3 dayWorks when connected, if you have problems just turn everything off and reconnect. Dont call technical support, they are in India and know less than an 89 year old
