> 3 dayIt is sad how women overlook disrespect to remain in a relationship. I was glad when Shayla came to her senses. Unfortunately, it took her forever to get to that point. I did not know whether to dislike her or feel sorry for her. Interesting read.

> 3 dayI truly enjoy this story. Im looking forward to volume 2. The characters were well developed. I read this book in couple days I like drama and twist and turns of the book. Its refreshing when a book captures your attention from beginning to end. I just was slightly upset with the ending it seem like it was rush. I hope you dont take long bringing out Volume 2.

> 3 dayWell you have three ladies that known each other as teens. They hung out together and even one of the three moved in with anothers family. Fast forward to adults. Now you have the unhappy wife who cant figure out why her husband doesnt spend more time with her. Doing whatever she can to try and gain back what she thought they had in the beginning. Then you have the battered housewife. So beaten down that it takes an encounter with a past lover to give her the strength to deal with her current situation as opposed to accepting it. Finally the betrayer. She is the main attraction to this book in my opinion. She grows up in her best friends home as a teen just to betray her in one of the worst ways as an adult. The best part is that she doesnt see what is wrong with what she does and to her so-called bestfriend. She makes you feel that enemies can be anyone. Dont trust your friends and dont tell them everything because in the end, they may covet what you have. Jealousy runs deep and the author demonstrated that with the betrayer. Love the play on words with the title of the book. As I kept reading it, made me wonder who really was the kept woman. I would recommend this to a friend because I found it a good read. It held my attention. One of the characters I am not sure what she really brought to the story. She felt a little out of place to me. The storyline with the pool guy was considered unbelievable to some reviewers but I think the author just chose not to elaborate on his part in the unhappy wifes life. Maybe the author felt the other characters were enough for this story. It was explained away later in the end that she kept in touch with him even though the author kept that from readers. Being that this is fiction, I can accept that some things are not explained. Otherwise, I will read a biography and to me those are boring. Take a chance and read it. You may have a different opinion.
