Basically, it is a 64GB thumb drive - which you can use as the drive for your Teslas sentry mode, or you can use it as a regular USB thumb drive. Up to you! The one piece metallic/plastic construction is nice and stylish.

This small USB stick packs a mighty 64 GB of storage. It works great with TeslaCam and Sentry mode recordings. Most USB flash drives eventually become corrupt with all the rewriting but this one comes with a lifetime guarantee and claims to be able to handle all the rewrites. It is plug and play right out of the box. No need to manually format the drive as FAT32 or create a TeslaCam folder. I love it.

Unpackaged and plugged right into the USB of the center console in my 2018 MX100D. Followed the directions from a video on YouTube, but I still have a bit to learn about the best ways to utilize SentryMode. Luckily, this device is so easy to use that I can focus my attention on the abilities the car has. I hope I never have to access a video for an accident or damage to my car, but glad I have this available just in case. Strangely, this USB already had a video save on it when I received it, which makes me think I received a used USB. After I noticed this item and watched the product video I immediately ordered it for use in my new 2023 Model Y. I definitely see a lot of value in recording the dashcam and sentry mode videos. When the SentryCam preformatted flash drive arrived I raced out to install it in my Model Y only to discover that Tesla includes a preformatted, Tesla branded, 128 GB flash drive installed in the USB port in the glovebox. Doh! It never even occurred to me to check to see if a drive was included with the car. Both the SentryCam and Tesla supplied drive performed exactly the same, but with the Tesla supplied drive being 2x as large and free. So, this product performed exactly as described, but was not needed or even useful in my 2023 Model Y. In Teslas that dont include a preformatted drive I can see where this would be useful.

I got this for my brother-in-law who owns a Tesla 3. This metal USB flash drive will come in handy in case of an emergency & requires no set-up as its already synched up to meet Tesla specifications. Its small & compact, about the size of a large paper clip & will easily fit into your storage compartment. Plus, it has 64GB of storage so you can start using it immediately. The storage capability is more than adequate for everyday use for reading & writing data onto the drive & this flash drive will work well with Teslas Dash Cam and Sentry Mode.

This small USB 3 device fits nicely in the Jeda Hub in my Model 3 and records both Sentry Mode and Dashcam video. No configuration was necessary. Just plug it in and go. If you want simple, this is it. And 64GB is plenty of room for recordings.

No formatting is necessary, this drive is pre setup to Tesla specifications and worked first time. 64MB is sufficient for dash cam and Sentry Mode every day. Note small item, quarter coin is shown for comparison.

Get this if you have a Tesla and don’t want to bother with the hassles of formatting and configuring a generic USB thumb drive to work with Tesla’s apps that work with it. Just plug it in and go! It’s smaller, clad in zinc alloy for ruggedness and durability – all at a price that is not even 0.05% of our car’s value (Model 3 bought in 2018). What’s not to like?
