The marble feels great in the hand. However, the shape of the bowl isnt really conducive to getting a good shaving lather. It should be a bit more shallow. Soap tends to collect in a ring around the bottom, which requires concerted effort to grab with the brush.

I bought this bowl because of the color. I had other options but chose to go with this seller. Bowl seams to be good quality but it is green, not black as it states in the description.

Great deal for a really nice and attractive shaving bowl. It is smooth on the inside which is its only detractor. Went with the brown bowl and I’m glad I did. Great size and weight.

Carefully packaged in a messy styrofoam style insulated box, this little bowl is finished nicely and crafted of authentic marble. Used as expected

This is simply a fantastic and beautiful bowl. I ordered the Green Onyx which is stunning in quality and craftsmanship. My wife, after seeing it, suggested we use it as decorative peice in our living room! Great value for the money!

Loved this was definitely worth it

Wow! This is a beautiful bowl. The stone used is really nice looking. I love that theres some translucent parts in it (Im not sure if the pictures caught it). Its unique looking. One thing I will note is that it isnt very thick. I have a feeling if this drops on a hard surface, it will easily break. The moral of the story - be careful with it. Now, I need to decide what to do with it. Its so nice, I dont think I want to use it as a shave bowl and get it all dirty (well, soapy). I may just sit it on my desk and put paper clips in it or something like that. That way I can see it more often to appreciate it. Overall, I am a fan.

Using this for general mixing of balms and oils. Makes the process a breeze since I do them in small batches, i dont have to use all the weird sized things that arent stir friendly and this washes well wothout retaining any scents or staining.
