> 24 hourThese thermometers are in my brooder box for newly hatched quail babies. It is important that the temperature be between 95-100 degrees the first week. As you can see in the picture, the thermometer probes are right next to each other in the brooder box and both register a different temperature (101.8 & 98.6; 99.9 & 103.3; 102.8 & 99.1). The brooder heat lamp is in a fixed position and yet these temps keep fluctuating. I dont want to fry my newborns or have them die by not being warm enough. Time to get a decent and correct registering thermometer. Dont waste your money on these.
