SimpliSafe Motion Sensor - 45ft. Range - Infrared Heat Signature Technology - Compatible with The Home Security System - Latest Gen

Does not work for me. I had this in a bedroom with large sunny windows. If I leave a window cracked open with the curtains drawn the alarm will ring if a breeze blows the curtain around. Not sure how since this sensor is supposed to be heat sensing. Does it sense the heat of the sun outside? Of no value to me for a security system.

I bought 2 of these with a custom system which I love minus these motion detectors because they dont work plain and simple during the trial period I wanted to see where best to place them and armed My system and then walked slowly like I would if was sneaking in and they did not pick up anything and I tried 7 different spots just like the manual said only time it works is if you walk fast and swing your arms they are quite useless

This is the second Motion Sensor. The first sensor worked so well that I wanted a second one. It was easy to install via the Keypad.

Easy to install

I have used the SimpliSafe system since 2017 and now have three separate locations protected. Installation, daily usage, and maintenance are all fairly straight forward and do not require a separate, locally owned company to monitor. All of this can be accomplished by the homeowner with the help of the SimpliSafe customer service staff if needed. Alarms do work and protect your home and family. I highly recommend this company.
